MK Dons sign defender Sanders from St Johnstone
MK Dons have signed defender Jack Sanders from Scottish club St Johnstone for an undisclosed 25-year-old made 27 appearances for St Johnstone this season - 22 in the Scottish Premiership - after joining them from Kilmarnock last is the fifth signing of the January transfer window by the Dons - although one of the others, Nathan Thompson, is unlikely to play again this season because of a serious knee injury."Jack is an exciting centre-back at a great stage in his career, it's clear to see he has a really high ceiling," said Dons head coach Scott Lindsey."He's already played a good amount of football this season so should be able to hit the ground running quickly."Sanders began his career in the youth set-up at Wigan Athletic before heading north to join Kilmarnock, which led to loan spells at Cove Rangers and Ayr United and last summer's move to St Johnstone."I wanted to come to a club that suited my style of play, and this certainly does. I'm still looking to develop, I'm not the finished article by any stretch of the imagination," he said.
