Auburn baseball vs. NC State: Live coverage of the Auburn Regional final
The matchup for the Auburn Regional final is set.
The host Auburn Tigers will battle NC State for the right to claim the Auburn Regional championship and to advance to the Super Regionals next weekend. Auburn advanced to the regional championship game by beating Stetson in the winner's bracket game on Saturday night, 8-5.
The Tigers and Hatters matched each other in the hit column by logging 12 each, but Auburn's ability to stretch their hits over multiple bases led them to victory. Auburn recorded eight doubles in the win over Stetson, with seven of those resulting in Auburn runs.
NC State knocked off Stetson Sunday afternoon, 17-12, to claim the second seat in the regional final. The Hatters trailed NC State, 4-3, in the 4th inning before sending home five runs over the 5th and 6th innings to steal the lead. The Wolfpack bounced back by scoring 10 runs in the 8th inning to regain momentum. Stetson added four runs in the bottom of the 8th to trim the NC State lead to 15-12, but could not mount another comeback strong enough to seal the win as NC State added two more insurance runs in the 9th inning to secure the win.

Auburn vs. NC State will start later than originally scheduled
Due to the length of the loser's bracket game between NC State and Stetson, the Auburn Regional final will not begin at 6 p.m. CT. The regional final will begin 55 minutes following the conclusion of game five of the Auburn Regional.

What's next for Auburn?
The Auburn Tigers need to beat NC State on Sunday to claim the Auburn Regional championship, which will advance them to the Super Regional round next weekend against the winner of Coastal Carolina vs. East Carolina. Should Auburn lose Sunday, they will play a "winner-take-all" game against the Wolfpack on Monday at a time to be later determined.
