BTS J-Hope poised for March return: report
J-Hope of BTS will release new music next month as a solo artist, according to a local media report Thursday.
Big Hit Music confirmed the news, but did not offer additional details.
His last solo effort was the special album 'Hope on the Street Vol. 1' in March last year, while serving his compulsory Army service. The six-track album inspired by street dance debuted on the Billboard 200 at No. 5 and ranked No. 38 on UK's Official Albums Chart Top 100, surpassing his first solo studio album, 'Jack in the box,' which was released in 2022.
The LP topped iTunes top albums charts in 49 regions, while the tracks 'Arson' and 'More' were No. 1 on top songs charts in 62 and 84 regions, respectively. Both songs made Billboard's Hot 100, hitting No. 96 and No. 82, respectively.
On Feb. 28, J-Hope will kick off his first solo tour with three days of live shows in Seoul.
GOT7's Bambam leaves agency
Bambam of GOT7 has parted ways with Abyss Company, the agency said Thursday.
The two parties agreed not to renew the contract they signed in 2021 after a long discussion, according to the agency.
Bambam has released three EPs and a full-length album as a solo act since 2021. The most recent album, third EP 'Bamesis,' topped iTunes top albums charts in 19 regions, as did lead single 'Last Parade' on top songs charts in nine.
Meanwhile, GOT7 held a concert last week in Seoul, its first to feature all seven members in six years. The band performed songs from its 13th EP, 'Winter Heptagon,' which came out last month. The album debuted atop iTunes top albums charts in 27 regions.
