LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — This week on Crime Stoppers, police need your help identifying someone wanted for multiple retail frauds at a Jackson business and finding two people wanted on warrants. If you have information regarding the cases below, call Crime Stoppers of Mid-Michigan at (517) 483-STOP. You can remain anonymous. Those who contact Crime Stoppers with information can receive up to a $1,000 award. The Jackson Police Department is asking for any information that could identify someone who has committed multiple retail frauds at a business in Jackson Crossing. Bryan Michael Johnson, 20, is wanted out of Jackson on a warrant for unlawful imprisonment, tampering with evidence, and aggravated assault. He is 6'2″ and 165 lbs., with black hair and brown eyes. Skyler Mark Goedert, 28, is wanted on multiple warrants related to retail fraud offenses and a separate warrant for cocaine possession out of Eaton County. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Police: 7 hurt in shooting that involved children at a Jackson park Saturday
A shooting that involved juveniles left seven people injured over the weekend, according to the Jackson Police Department. Officers arrived just after 8:40 a.m. to Kate Campbell Robertson Memorial Park on May 24 where they found seven people wounded. Police said one was seriously injured and later said that person was in critical but stable condition. Two others were injured but stable, while the remaining four were treated and released. Investigators are working to conduct interviews, process the scene and follow leads into what happened. Anyone with information on the shooting or the circumstances surrounding it is asked to call the Jackson Police Department at 731-425-8400. "Your cooperation is essential in helping us solve this case and ensure community safety," the department post read. No other details were immediately available Monday morning. Jackson police arrest two additional suspects in shooting death of 19-year-old on Holden Street
Jackson police arrested two additional suspects in connection to the shooting death of 19-year-old Zephaniah Thompson, according to a Friday, May 23, press release. The shooting occurred between 4 and 4:30 p.m. on May 7 in the 300 block of Holden Street, where police learned that Thompson had been fatally shot at the scene. A press release issued by JPD Public Information Officer Tommie Brown identified two arrested suspects as Michael Kelly Jr., 20, and Ty'Misha Trotter, 21. Brown wrote Kelly was arrested around 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, by Capitol Police. Brown stated Kelly was taken into the Jackson Police Department custody and charged with murder. A judge denied Kelly bond, Brown said. Brown also stated Trotter was arrested on Thursday and charged with accessory before the fact of murder. According to Brown, a vehicle used in the crime — a Nissan Versa — was recovered. Jackson police previously arrested LeCorion Davis, 17, who is being charged as an adult, in connection with this case. The Clarion Ledger does not name minors suspected of a crime unless they are charged as an adult. Davis faces a murder charge. Jackson police arrest two in shooting death of 19-year-old
JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested two additional suspects in connection to the shooting death of a 19-year-old. The shooting occurred in the 300 block of Holden Street near Segura Avenue on Wednesday, May 7. Police said a man was found deceased at the location. He was identified as Zephaniah Thompson, 19. Jackson man sentenced in auto theft case On May 22, investigators said Michael Kelly, Jr., was arrested by Capitol police. He was taken into Jackson police custody and charged with murder. Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said Ty'Misha Trotter was also arrested and charged with accessory before the fact of murder. Brown said the vehicle used in the crime, a Nissan Versa, was also recovered. On May 23, Kelly appeared in court and was denied bond, and Trotter received a $30,000 bond. Jackson police investigate fatal shooting after body found near elementary school
Jackson police are investigating a fatal shooting after a body was found near an elementary school on Monday afternoon, May 19. Jackson Public School District official Sherwin Johnson issued a statement saying Green Elementary School was placed on a temporary lockdown at approximately 1:45 p.m. Monday "due to reports of gunshots fired outside near the school." The elementary school is located near Hillside Drive and Forest Avenue. According to the Jackson Police Department, the body of an unidentified Black, male victim was found in the driveway of a church across the street from the school. Public Information Officer Tommie Brown said the unidentified victim was shot multiple times. No suspect information has been released. Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said no one at the school was harmed; however, this incident was "disturbing." It's problematic because this happened across the street from an elementary school," Wade said. "School was in session. Babies were here. "And this knucklehead, this idiot, whoever it is that decided to take this man's life was foolish and reckless, and we cannot have this here in the City of Jackson."
