Lyrical Lemonade has announced this year's Summer Smash Festival lineup — and it contains some potentially culture-shaking performances. The three-day event will be headlined by Future, the world debut of the newly formed duo of Don Toliver and Yeat, and Young Thug in his first live performance since his release from jail. Scheduled for Friday, June 20, through Sunday, June 22, Summer Smash will grace SeatGeek Stadium near Chicago for its seventh iteration. Tickets will be released for purchase on Friday (March 28) at 12 p.m. CT via the Summer Smash website. More from Billboard Huey P. Led by Don Toliver and Yeat, the Friday night lineup also includes Trippie Redd, Ski Mask the Slump God, NLE Choppa, Nettspend, DC the Don, Molly Santana, Karrahbooo and more. On Saturday (June 21), Future will lead a lineup that features Sexyy Red, Lil Tecca, Destroy Lonely, SahBabii, Soulja Boy, Osamason, BabyTron, Plaqueboymax, Famous Dex and 1900Rugrat. The lineup of Sunday night performers preceding Thugger's highly anticipated live comeback includes Lil Yachty, Quavo, Nav, G Herbo, Saba, Insane Clown Posse, Bktherula, Skaiwater and TiaCorine. Chance the Rapper will close out one of the two main stages on Sunday night. 'I feel lucky to be able to throw the party of the year with my best friends,' said Cole Bennett, Summer Smash Festival cofounder and Lyrical Lemonade founder, in a press release. 'May this be the best one yet. Lucky No. 7.' Young Thug's headlining appearance comes the year after Summer Smash hosted one of the most iconic musical homecomings of the decade with Chief Keef's long-awaited return to performing in Chicago after a 12-year hiatus. Thug, of course, was in the throes of his state RICO trial for most of 2024. On Oct. 31, 2024, he was sentenced to 15 years probation and no prison time after pleading guilty in the long-running case accusing him of leading a violent Atlanta street gang. Despite popping up on songs with Lil Baby ('Dum, Dumb & Dumber') and Playboi Carti ('We Need All Da Vibes'), Thugger has been relatively quiet on the music front so far in 2025. North West, Kevin Smith & Jake Shane Star in FKA Twigs' ‘Childlike Things' Music Video

FKA Twigs has reunited with North West to release a music video for their collaboration, 'Childlike Things,' and they've also called on Kevin Smith and Jake Shane to guest star. In the clip, Smith and Shane act as music industry executives as Twigs tries to prove her artistry to them. When they don't see the vision, Twigs brings in North to amplify the energy. The 11-year-old then appears, rapping in both English and Japanese, proclaiming, 'Hello, my name is North/ From California to Tokyo/ Jesus the King/ Praise God/ Jesus is the only true God.' FKA Twigs previously opened up about the firstborn daughter of Kim Kardashian and Ye (formerly Kanye West) ended up on 'Childlike Things,' explaining that she needed a collaborator who could match and enhance the 'childlike energy' she was tapping into on the track. 'It [needed] someone who has that tenacity, who has that strong point of view that you have when you're 11,' Twigs shared on Instagram. 'Then I saw an interview with North West, and she was so confident. It suddenly occurred to me that I would've loved to have a friend like North who could speak up for themselves.' She continued, 'I was like, 'OK, it has to be North, she has to put her point of view on the song.' She came and wrote about her faith, which I think is really powerful.' 'Childlike Things' ended up being one of 11 tracks on Twigs' new album Eusexua, which debuted at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 — her highest peak on the chart to date. North had previously worked with her dad on Vultures 1's 'Talking' and Vultures 2's 'Bomb.' Here's When Katy Perry Will Go to Space on Blue Origin's All-Women Flight

Before she travels the world for her Lifetimes Tour, Katy Perry will check out the planet from above. On Thursday (March 27), Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin announced the date of the singer's ascent into the stars as part of the space exploration company's first all-women flight crew, with Perry set to embark on the trip just before her upcoming global trek. According to Blue Origin's Instagram post, the spacecraft's launch window begins at 8:30 a.m. CT on April 14 in the West Texas high desert. The company also unveiled the flight's official patch, which features the last names of each member of the crew emblazoned on the border as well as symbols that are meaningful to the women. The news comes one month after it was first announced that the 'Woman's World' artist would be joining CBS Mornings' Gayle King, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Amanda Nguyen and entrepreneur/film producer Kerianne Flynn on the NS-31 expedition. The trip will be led by Lauren Sánchez — who is engaged to Bezos and is vice chair of the billionaire's Earth Fund — and marks Blue Origin's 11th human space flight. At the time of the announcement, Perry wrote on Instagram, 'If you had told me that I would be part of the first ever all-female crew in space, I would have believed you … Nothing was beyond my imagination as a child.' 'Although we didn't grow up with much, I never stopped looking at the world with hopeful WONDER!' continued the former American Idol judge, who shares daughter Daisy with Orlando Bloom. 'I work hard to live my life that way still, and I am motivated more than ever to be an example for my daughter that women should take up space (pun intended). That's why this opportunity is so incredible — so that I can show all of the youngest & most vulnerable among us to reach for the stars, literally and figuratively.' The expedition will take place in between Perry's rehearsals for the Lifetimes Tour and the trek's kickoff in Mexico City April 23. Supporting new album 143 — which debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard 200 — the run will also see the musician lapping the United States, Canada, Australia, South America and Europe with shows scheduled through mid-November. Huey P. Williams, Beloved Lead Singer of the Jackson Southernaires, Dies at 80

Huey P. Williams, the longtime frontman of the Jackson Southernaires and a cornerstone of American gospel music, died peacefully at his home in Smithdale, Mississippi, on March 24. He was 80. A trailblazer in traditional gospel, Williams' unmistakable voice and soulful storytelling made him one of the most beloved vocalists in the genre. His passing marks the end of an era for quartet gospel — a style he helped define and preserve for over five decades. He was the elder brother of Frank Williams, who later founded the Mississippi Mass Choir, and of Melvin, Doug and Leonard Williams, members of the Grammy-nominated Williams Brothers. Together, the Williams family helped shape the sound of modern gospel. 'My big brother Huey, in my eyes, was in a league of his own,' said Doug. 'He possessed a signature voice that was unmistakably his own. His music ministry touched so many lives in such a positive way over the years. He had a big personality, but such a humble spirit. Huey was the epitome of a people's person, a man that loved everybody and never met a stranger. He would literally give you the shirt off his back. That's why so many people from across the country gravitated to him and loved him dearly. His presence will be sorely missed, but his undeniable legacy will live on forever.' Founded in 1940 in Jackson, Mississippi, the Jackson Southernaires gained national attention in the 1960s under the leadership of Huey and Frank Williams, along with Willie Banks. In 1963, they signed with Song Bird Records, a Peacock subsidiary, and released their breakout single, 'The Greatest Creator.' Their 1968 song 'Too Late' became a massive hit and led to the release of their first full-length album. Known for emotionally powerful performances and messages of faith and perseverance, the Southernaires earned acclaim with radio favorites like 'Don't Let Him Catch You (With Your Work Undone)' and 'How Long Will It Last.' In 1975, the group became the first gospel act to sign with Malaco Records, launching a decades-long partnership that saw them regularly chart on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums list with titles such as Down Home (1975), Legendary Gentlemen (1979) and Lord We Need Your Blessing (1985). They were frequently named among Billboard's Top Gospel/Soul Artists of the year. Huey's commitment to gospel never wavered. When asked if he'd ever retire, he famously replied, 'My answer to that question is, how do you give up on God? How do you give up on Gospel? How do you say, 'I'm going to retire?' It's like a good marriage — until death do us part.' The Jackson Southernaires won multiple accolades, including three consecutive Gospel Music Workshop of America awards for Traditional Male Group of the Year in the late '80s, a Stellar Award in 1989, and a Grammy nomination in 1992. They were inducted into the Mississippi Musicians Hall of Fame, and in 2010, the city of Jackson renamed a stretch of road in their honor: Jackson Southernaires Drive. Williams' final performance with the group was in late 2024, a testament to his enduring passion for gospel. A celebration of life will be held on March 29 at Fernwood MB Church in McComb, Mississippi. When Huey was asked about retiring, he said, 'My answer to that question is, how do you give up on God? How do you give up on Gospel? How do you say, 'I'm going to retire?' It's like a good marriage, until death do us part.' Williams is survived by his siblings, extended family, and a legion of fans whose lives were uplifted by his voice.
