Geordie Shore's Holly Hagan reveals she was ‘scared to sleep' amid fears her baby son would die weeks after giving birth
WORST FEARS The reality star opened up about the unexpected emotional toll of becoming a mum HOLLY Hagan has revealed she was so overwhelmed after giving birth, she was terrified of going to bed at night. The Geordie Shore star, 32, welcomed her son Alpha-Jax, now two, with footballer hubby Jacob Blyth, but says the early days of motherhood left her in tears every evening. 6 6 6 6 Speaking on her new CBeebies Parenting Helpline podcast with BBC Radio 1 DJ Charlie Hedges, Holly opened up about the unexpected emotional toll of becoming a mum. She confessed: 'I wish somebody had warned me about the baby blues, because oh my God, that hormone drop once I got home from hospital — I was crying for no reason. 'It would get to 6pm, 7pm and I'd just burst into tears. I was scared of going to bed, I didn't want to be alone.' The reality TV favourite added: 'It was very strange, but thankfully that passed after a week or so. But nobody warned me. I wish someone had spoken to me about that. It wasn't fun.' And it wasn't just the hormones keeping Holly up at night — she was plagued with anxiety over Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), and found herself obsessively checking on Alpha-Jax. Geordie Shore star Holly Hagan cruelly mum shamed as she shares toddler's 'I worried about febrile seizures and all these things you don't really hear about until you have social media,' she admitted. 'It's great for advice but it also shows you loads of terrifying stuff. 'I thought SIDS was really common. I was absolutely terrified thinking one day he might just stop breathing. I even used an Owlet sock that tracked his breathing, oxygen and heart rate because I'm such an anxious person.' Holly also opened up about the challenges of parenting a 'high-temperament' child and said it's taken her two whole years to feel like she's finally cracked motherhood. 'I've made no secret that it's been a difficult journey with him since he was about four months old,' she said. 'I'm finally getting into the swing of it, but it's taken a long time. Motherhood completely turns your life upside down.' 6 6

GEORDIE Shore's Holly Hagan has admitted that she feels "triggered" to talk about her weight loss after losing 3st. The reality star, 32, who starred on the MTV show when she was just 18, welcomed her first baby with her husband Jacob Blyth last year and has proudly showed off the efforts of her weight loss journey. 4 4 During a new Instagram Q&A, Holly said she doesn't believe it to be beneficial to share her exact weight. One fan asked: '"You look so good but put it into context what do you weigh, you look 8st." She replied: '"I've never been eight stone in my entire life I don't think, I don't even think when I was a child that I was eight stone. "So I don't tend to share my weight because I always find it quite triggering when other people share their weight and I'm like "oh what can I do to get down to that weight" and it still triggers me a bit in that way. "Everybody is different, everybody's body composite is different and yeah I just refrain from sharing it. "But I will tell you that the lightest weight that I've ever been in my adult life is nine stone three, and I am not at my lightest right now and I don't think I'll ever be back at my lightest ever again." Holly also revealed why she decided to quit her glamour modelling career - after having posed for lads mags back in the day. She explained: "They were the best years ever, I loved nothing more than doing a glamour shoot and I always felt so amazing. "Even though I wasn't like one of the slimmest girls there and I always felt a bit self conscious, those pictures always made me feel so good about myself and I always felt so glamorous and so looked after. 'Flattering & lightweight' Holly Hagan says about stunning LBD that's perfect for hiding a tummy & cool for warmer days "It was always such a positive experience. The only reason I stopped doing it was because the magazines ended, they died as they did with all magazines. "I'd still be doing it now if I could, not that Jacob would be very happy with that, but I absolutely loved that whole experience." In 2023 the TV personality qualified as a nutrition coach and earned certification as a level 3 qualified Personal Trainer. She now posts fitness-related content and provides guided workout sessions on her Instagram platform. The mum had admitted to being 'terrified' after gaining 50lb during her pregnancy and vowed to lose the baby weight. She said previously: "The journey after having a baby is long and slow. Not everyone bounces back quickly and we shouldn't be expected to." She updated her fans on her incredible weight loss journey recently saying: "I knew what needed to be done because I have the education and tools, but I knew it would take time. There's no getting around that." Her progress photos since losing the weight have stunned fans. One commented: "Good job girl" with another saying: "You look amazing." 4
