Constituents voice frustrations during Messmer telephone town hall event
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) — U.S. Representative Mark Messmer answered dozens of questions and addressed concerns on Tuesday evening during a special tele-town hall event. It comes after protests and events where people say the congressman is absent and refuses to answer questions and concerns. 'I was excited to hear this was happening, especially that we were meeting as a community, so we could brainstorm and come up with the best questions,' says Jacob Wallace. Wallace came to the McCollough Library Meeting Room to speak with fellow constituents and call to ask Representative Messmer questions. 'I have contacted the representative several times and have not had any feedback. We get the generic blasted email that comes back and says Thanks for contacting us, we will be happy to get back to you in the future,' Wallace says. Wallace teaches Kindergarten and came to fight for his kids. He says a moderator pre-screened his question. 'Why won't Mark Messmer meet with his constituents face to face. Why is he hiding, and who is he really working for?' Wallace asked. Wallace was on the phone for at least half an hour and never got to ask Messmer his question. 'I was told I was in the queue, and then I was on hold the entire process,' Wallace says. 'I am offended by how long I have had to wait, and I am not surprised at all. I am honestly surprised that the calls are happening,' says Laura Brown. Brown was one of the first people in queue and says she never got to ask her question either. 'He did not like my question. I was going to ask him to make a commitment to not ship our residents to foreign prisons,' says Brown. While many of the constituents we spoke with did not get through, others around the city did. 'Do you support these proposed tariffs by Donald Trump?' one resident asked. 'Trump's tariff negotiations are just part of making sure that we get rid of unfair trade packages from our foreign trading partners. I do not think it is anybody's best interest for a long-term extension of tariffs right now,' Representative Messmer answered. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Chloe Radford shares ‘painful' update & gives insight into her ‘reality' as ‘everything seems to be all over the place'
CHLOE Radford has shared a 'painful' update after giving birth. Not only this, but the mum-of-two also gave her fans an insight into her 'reality' as she admitted 'everything seems to be all over the place'. 6 6 6 6 Just six days after giving birth to her second child, Bodhi Reign, the blonde beauty, who is Noel and Sue's second eldest daughter and began her relationship with her security guard boyfriend Jacob Wallace in 2021, took to social media to share what the first few days have been like as a family-of-four. The 29-year-old, who recently welcomed her newborn son into the world, filmed herself whilst making some breakfast for her adorable daughter Mila, as she said: 'I feel like we're still just trying to find our rhythm a little bit with everything and get a little routine going because everything just seems to be a bit all over the place.' As she pointed to piles of dirty dishes, Chloe shared: 'Here's a bit of reality.' Whilst wearing a pair of pyjamas with her hair tied back, the content creator who stars in the Channel 5 show 22 Kids & Counting, continued: 'Bodhi is doing great, I had a health visitor round yesterday and he's only lost 5 ounces - he was 6 lb 1 oz.' As well as this, Chloe acknowledged: ' Breastfeeding is going really, really well. 'He's taken to it really well, I'm really proud of us.' Despite this, Chloe revealed that she has begun using Lansinoh Soothies Cooling Gel Pads, which you can buy from Boots for £10.99, as she admitted: 'I've got one really sore boob. 'I put one of these on last night, because I was really struggling to feed him on this side because it was just so painful. 'I had this on last night and it feels so much better, so I did actually manage to feed him again on that side.' Chloe then asked Mila what she thinks of her baby brother, to which the youngster beamed: 'Cute.' Britain's biggest family grows even bigger as mum-of-22 Sue Radford gets 14th grandchild The third oldest Radford child, who works as a bakery manager at the family's Radford Pie Company, then explained: 'She's been amazing with him, she just wants to cuddle him all the time.' Keen to keep her followers informed, she confessed: 'But yeah, I feel like we're just trying to find our rhythm and a new routine. I feel like we're still just trying to find our rhythm a little bit with everything and get a little routine going Chloe Radford 'I look knackered. But yeah that's the update.' Chloe's fans react Chloe's TikTok clip, which she posted on her official account under the username @ itschloexa, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 144,700 views, 6,903 likes and 148 comments. Chloe's fans eagerly raced to the comments, with many keen to praise the 'amazing' mother. One person said: 'You're doing amazing sweetheart - look after yourself.' How does family-of-22 the Radfords afford to live? AS Britain's biggest family, it may come as no surprise that Sue and Noel Radford must have some hefty bills. Between them, they have a whopping 22 children and seven dogs, which often has some people wonder how they manage their money. The Radfords support themselves with the proceeds of Noel's bakery, The Radford Pie Company, which is located near their home. On their website, it says: 'We have owned our own lovely bakery since 1999 which is how we manage to provide for (and feed) our huge and expanding family as well as for the local people of Heysham and Morecambe.' The family expanded their business to cater to online orders placed across the UK. The business is a family affair, with Noel at the helm, and some of their children helping out. The older kids, who are working at least part-time, don't get a free ride as they're made to pay a small amount of rent to their parents. "Us older ones do pay a little bit of board. Granted it's not a lot but I'm also trying to save up for my own house at the moment.' their daughter Chloe said in a video on the YouTube channel. Sue added: "We've always said if you want to buy somewhere, renting is a bit of dead money, so we'd rather you saved that money up and stayed at home a bit longer. 'I also do believe they should pay board if they are earning. We've always been brought up by our parents that we had to pay board.' Noel and Sue famously don't rely on benefits for their bumper brood and live off their pie shop for income. They also revealed they make money from brand partnerships on social media. The Radford family stars in their own reality TV show 22 Kids and Counting - which has run for four series. Brand expert Andy Barr believes Noel and Sue have been paid less than £10,000 for each show. He told the Daily Mail: "The typical fee per episode is going to be in the thousands rather than the tens or hundreds of thousands that people often think is the case with TV shows of this nature. "If they continue to get commissioned for a fourth or fifth season, then they are going to be able to command a higher fee." He estimates that the Radfords make £ 5,000 an episode. Another added: 'You actually look better than I did all my 25 years back. Just make sure you all take care of each other and look after each other.' A third commented: 'You're smashing it.' Meanwhile, someone else chimed in: 'Congratulations hun. Love his name. Hope you're doing well.' ESPN shares final 2025 Iowa football recruiting class ranking
Now that national signing day has come and gone, Iowa football's 2025 signing class is officially finalized. The Hawkeyes added two more players on national signing day, inking defensive back Jacob Wallace to a scholarship offer and wide receiver Dylan Stecker as a preferred walk-on. With 16 scholarship additions and five walk-on adds, Iowa is bringing in 21 fresh faces into its locker room this spring and summer. As the dust settles on the 2025 cycle, ESPN shared its final team recruiting rankings. Iowa checks in at No. 48 nationally in ESPN's team recruiting rankings. ESPN rates tight end Thomas Meyer as the Hawkeyes' top offensive signee and defensive end Iose Epenesa as Iowa's top defensive addition. Epenesa is the clear headliner of the class. With Iowa's legacy tie-in, the Epenesa recruitment felt like one Iowa needed to win. The Hawkeyes got that accomplished and addressed a number of other needs across the board. While it won't get a ton of national acclaim, it feels like a vintage Iowa signing class where a re-rank in several seasons' time will tell a much different story. Iowa's 2025 signing class is ranked as the nation's No. 33 class perOn3, as the No. 38 class per 247Sports, and as the No. 54 class per Rivals.
