EXCLUSIVE Brides at war! Married At First Sight stars in frosty feud as they clash over fur coat at fan meet-up event: 'Tone deaf'

They came for the selfies and stayed for the subtle shade. What was meant to be a cheerful Married At First Sight fan meet-up in Melbourne took an awkward turn when brides Natalie Parham and Jacqui Burfoot found themselves on opposite sides of a fashion-fuelled fallout. Witnesses didn't notice a scene - but behind the scenes, things got frosty fast. Daily Mail Australia can reveal Natalie, who paired on the Nine series last year, took issue with Jacqui's choice to wear imitation fur, calling it out as 'tone deaf' given recent backlash aimed at co-star Carina Mirabile for similar styling. 'She called her out for wearing imitation fur - [and] promoting the fur trade,' a spy revealed. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Not sure why you'd wear it after all the Carina backlash, but that's just me - I'm no fashionista.' Jacqui, who had only purchased the garment the day before, was reportedly left upset by the unexpected criticism. Natalie admitted she 'pulled a face' and later felt compelled to apologise 'in advance' to co-star Clint Rice for how she handled the situation. 'She [Jacqui] was upset since she bought it yesterday and I pulled a face,' Natalie told Daily Mail Australia. 'I already said to them I disapprove of their throw stones mentality.' Despite the awkwardness, Natalie made it clear she wasn't interested in playing nice for appearances, instead choosing to spend time with friend Lyndall Grace. 'I wanted to hang out with Lyndall and I got to do that - if I don't like someone I don't associate with them,' she added bluntly. It comes after Carina hit back at an animal activist after she was slammed for wearing a 'fur coat' to Australian Fashion Week last month. Bailey, who runs the account Warrior For Animals, shared images of the reality TV star in the ankle-length 'vintage' coat, claiming she 'defied' the event's no animal skin rule. Carina later posted to her own social media page to assure followers the shaggy brown jacket she purchased in Brooklyn is actually faux fur. The debacle kicked off when Bailey shared a collage of Carina in her fur coat next to news AFW had 'banned all wildlife materials' from runways. The second time Carina mentioned wearing fur came during an interview with Daily Mail Australia when she was asked about her outfit. 'Yes this is my own 'fit. I bought this fur coat from New York in Brooklyn and I've got SKIMS on underneath and literally pantyhose stockings,' she said. Carina wore a nude SKIMS 'Ultimate Butt' bodysuit beneath the coat, opting for a look inspired by Kim Kardashian. While the bride has not directly referenced Bailey's accusations, she later shared a post to her Instagram Stories saying the coat is not real fur. 'It's not real fur FYI and my stylist uses vegan products,' she captioned an image of her look. Carina's makeup artist Angelina Jade commented beneath saying: 'She a vegan baddie.' The budding fashionista also made a statement to Chattr, reiterating she was not wearing real fur. 'It's not real fur, bought from a vintage store in New York. I wouldn't wear anything that's not ethically sourced,' she says. She went on to say it was 'worrying' to see people jump to conclusions so quickly. Carina later posted to her own social media page to assure followers the shaggy brown coat she purchased in Brooklyn is actually faux fur 'People are so quick to judge in this day and age and it's worrying and detrimental on people's lives,' 'We are not robots. If people have nothing nice to say, they shouldn't say anything at all. 'There is already enough cruelty in the world, people shouldn't add to it, but try and make it a better peaceful place.' Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Carina for further comment, as well as the Australian Fashion Council to verify any complaints made. AFW banned all wildlife-derived materials, including fur, exotic animal skins and feathers, from being used on runways this year and in the future.

Are Married At First Sight's Jacqui Burfoot and Clint Rice happy together? A body language expert casts doubts on controversial couple's relationship

A body language expert has weighed in on a Married At First Sight couple's relationship, claiming that they appear to physically show 'a wholly mismatched pairing '. Jacqui Burfoot, 29, who was paired with Ryan Donnelly on the show, and Clint Rice, 44, who was paired with Lauren Hall, made headlines at the MAFS reunion as they announced their relationship to the world. Now, the couple are loved-up, engaged and living together in Tasmania, seemingly happy as ever as they start their life together. However, a celebrity body language expert has been quick to cast doubts on the couple's relationship, sharing a number of opinions on their physical responses towards each other. Inbaal Honigman, whose observations have featured in publications such as Elle and People, analysed a recent Instagram post by Jacqui of the couple's first few months out of the experiment. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. '6 months of post-mafs life, hiking, biking and drinking Pinot around Tassie & New Zealand!' Jacqui captioned the post. However, despite all the smiles, kisses and sweet moments captured in the snaps, Inbaal claims the couple's awkwardness is 'notable'. 'It is a struggle to find a single photo where they appear at ease with each other,' he told JJ Lee. Critiquing the cover picture, Inbaal noted Jacqui's raised shoulder, hand placement and the uncomfortable nonverbal cue, which he says 'shows a wholly mismatched pairing'. Inbaal went on to say that in many of the photos, Clint's smile appears 'forced'. 'The one photo where Clint's smile is happy and genuine is when he poses alone with one of the doggies,' he said. Another picture, which showed the couple sitting side-by-side, was called out by Inbaal. 'Between the two TV stars there is a pile of protective gear in the form of: their four hands, their arms their lack of eye contact, the arms of two wooden chairs, and a vast gulf of their apparent incompatibility,' he wrote. Jacqui was a polarising figure on the twelfth season of Married At First Sight Australia, receiving a 'villain edit' on the screen while simultaneously speaking out against the happenings of the show on social media. From being labelled 'wacky Jacqui' by her fellow contestants to being torn apart for her emotional outbursts regarding her TV husband Ryan, the 29-year-old lawyer didn't have an easy ride on the show. Now, her father Doog Burfoot has lifted the lid on what really happens behind the scenes of the Aussie reality show, claiming that what you see on the screen is a heavily edited version of events. Doog, who lives in Queenstown, spoke to New Zealand Herald's Stephanie Holmes in April about the inner workings of the show and the editing that makes the popular series exciting television. The proud dad revealed that the character invented on the screen is a far cry from the real Jacqui. 'She is unrecognisable to us and a product of gross editing that uses 'frankenbiting' - splicing different answers to different questions, showing the bad one percent to create, in Jacqui's case, the 'crazy' narrative,' he told the publication. As an example, Doog went on to speak about a comment made by Jacqui in her introductory video, saying that there was 'no one' on her level. The controversial moment, which cast Jacqui in a vain light for the rest of the season, was actually made in a monologue by the TV bride, who was explaining other people's work ethics at one of her former jobs.

Who wore it better? MAFS' Jacqui Burfoot and Count Nikolai's girlfriend Benedikte Thoustrup arrive to Australian Fashion Week in matching ruffle dresses

Jacqui Burfoot and Count Nikolai's girlfriend Benedikte Thoustrup stepped out in matching looks at Australian Fashion Week on Wednesday. The MAFS star, 29, and Benedikte, 24, both arrived in ruffle dresses to day three of the fashion event. Jacqui looked stylish at she posed for photos outside Carriageworks in a peach maxi dress from Australian label Aje. The $695 frock featured layered ruffles throughout, a halter neckline and a fetching floral embellishment on the décolletage. The reality star accessorised with a pair of gold drop earrings and two silver heart pendants around her neck. Benedikte also looked radiant as she arrived to the Aje fashion show in Barangaroo, Sydney in the exact same dress but in a different colour. The elegant lilac gown hugged her figure before flaring out into a billowing skirt. She complemented the dress with a diamond bracelet and gold earrings which shimmered under the lights, while her brunette hair was styled in a neat bun. Benedikte and Nikolai's appearance at the fashion show marks his confident stride into the fashion world, a journey he embarked on last year. The couple looked happy as they enjoyed the Aje show from their coveted seats, doing away with previous rumours of a split. Late last year, the pair were rumoured to have split after Nikolai and Benedikte had not shared to social media any photos of them together for months. Benedikte, who is the founder of Danish hair beauty company BénéSoie, had posted several glamorous modelling shots to Instagram - and Nikolai was absent from all of them. However, it was clear all was well as the genetically blessed couple cuddled up at hottest event on the Aussie fashion calendar. Nikolai's appearance at Fashion Week comes after tensions had risen between the Danish Royal Family since late 2022, after Queen Margrethe stripped Prince Joachim's four children - Nikolai, Felix, Henrik and Athena, of their titles. Benedikte also looked radiant as she arrived to the Aje fashion show in Barangaroo, Sydney in the exact same dress but in a different colour At the time, Margrethe insisted the move would be 'good for them in their future.' She said it would allow the children - who have maintained their positions in the line of succession - to 'shape their own lives without being limited by the special considerations and duties' that a formal affiliation with the Danish Royal Family involves. But Prince Joachim publicly spoke out against his mother's decision in the days that followed - claiming that his children had been 'harmed' in the process. Joachim, 55, hit out at her 'punishment' and claimed his four kids' identity was being 'removed'. Nikolai has since launched his own Instagram account to promote his modelling career - and has seldom been seen with his cousins and aunt since the announcement.

New soulmates? Controversial MAFS star Jacqui Burfoot cuddles up to 'fake influencer' Suzan Mutesi at Australian Fashion Week

Jacqui Burfoot unveiled a new friendship with another controversial figure on Wednesday. The Married At First Sight star was spotted on day three of Australian Fashion Week palling around with influencer Suzan Mutesi. The pair looked quite chuffed to be in each other's company, cuddling up close as they posed for photographers. Suzan put on another eye-catching display in a bright pink off the shoulder gown. The glamorous tulle dress finished just above the knee, flaunting Suzan's trim pins. The voluminous number featured a dramatic thick frill that snaked its way down Suzan's lithe frame and onto the long train that followed behind her. Tying her locks back for the occasion, Suzan finished her fashion forward look with a pair of gold heels. She accessorised with a pair of gold Yves Saint Laurent-logo earrings and a quirky clutch in the shape of a pair of ruby red lips. Jacqui, meanwhile, looked stunning in a peach maxi dress from Australian label Aje. The $695 frock featured layered ruffles throughout, a halter neckline and a fetching floral embellishment on the décolletage. The reality star accessorised with a pair of gold drop earrings and two silver heart pendants around her neck. Aside from cosying up to Suzan, Jacqui was also spotted enjoying the sartorial splendour with fiancé Clint Rice. The MAFS groom was dapper in white for the occasion, stepping out in a classic quarter zip sweater and a matching pair of white chinos. The reality star added an air of cool to his ensemble by popping the collar of his simple yet stylish jumper. He finished the look with what appeared to be a pair of black Electric sunglasses. The pair were happy to cuddle close for photographers, with Jacqui even giving a few fashionable spins to show off her AFW attire. Suzan also turned more than a few heads on Tuesday, stepping out in a unique preppy outfit with a black sports coat hanging from her torso with just one sleeve. Most recently, the 'fake influencer' was busted leaving a five star review on her own book, Love Beyond 30s, in a bid to boost sales. The 38-year-old, who's been accused of everything from buying Instagram followers and photoshopping herself into private jets, was exposed by her nemesis Jamie Azzopardi in a series of savage posts shared to their Instagram in November. The review, left under her own name, described the book as an 'empowering pursuit of self-worth' and claimed that her novel 'resonated deeply'. It claimed the fiction was a 'must-read for anyone navigating their 30s with humour and heart'. 'The book brilliantly captures the highs and lows of dating beyond your 30s in this clever narrative. The relatable anecdotes and poignant moments had me laughing, cringing, and nodding along,' it read. In a statement to Daily Mail Australia, the actress admitted to leaving the review. 'I wanted to share my genuine excitement and let readers know how much I believe in the journey this book offers,' she explained. 'Leaving my own review felt like speaking directly to each person who picks it up, as if to say, ''This was written with you in mind, and I hope it resonates deeply with you too.'' I just wanted to put my love for the book out there in my own words.' Suzan also made headlines in July last year, when she was caught in another editing scandal after sharing some very glamorous pictures online. Jacqui, meanwhile, became known as one of the most controversial brides in recent MAFS memory due to her tumultuous relationship with ex-Ryan Donnelly. Following their less-than-amicable split, it was revealed that Jacqui and Clint, who was paired with Lauren Hall, had struck up a romance. The couple then shocked fans by announcing their engagement during a Married At First Sight viewing party last month. 'We haven't set a wedding date yet, but we're hoping it will be between January and March next year,' Jacqui said in a recent Instagram clip. 'We're actually ready for kids and babies. 'Personally, I want to get married before I get pregnant. I don't want to be dealing with the drama of being pregnant and having a wedding dress be altered throughout my pregnancy. 'We're very keen to get married ASAP.'

Clint Rice doesn't look like this anymore! MAFS star cuts a very different figure as he steps out with fiancée Jacqui Burfoot in Sydney

Married At First Sight star Clint Rice cut a youthful figure when he stepped out in Sydney on Tuesday. The reality star, 44, was spotted with fiancée Jacqui Burfoot, 29, attending a show for Australian fashion label Apéro at Sydney's Royal Botanic Gardens on Tuesday. It looked as though Clint may have taken some of love rival Ryan Donnelly's passion for fitness to heart, with the golf pro looking as fit as ever. Clint also appeared to have gone a few shades darker on top, with his locks appearing almost black. His hairline also appeared a lot less pronounced than it was during filming. He has grown his tresses out from the 'short back and sides' coiffure he rocked during his time on MAFS. It looked as though Clint may have taken some of love rival Ryan Donnelly's passion for fitness to heart, with the golf pro looking as fit as ever Clint's new jet black hair matched perfectly with the dark tones of his outfit. He donned a black sweater with brown and white stripes at the hem and the cuffs. He also wore a pair of plain black chinos, finishing his fashion show look with a pair of black and white Wild Rhino sneakers. Jacqui also went for black at the event, arriving in a black denim jacket she wore with a flowing black skirt. The bohemian-esque skirt flowed freely down Jacqui's frame, finishing just above the ankle. The controversial reality star finished her look with a pair of black suede boots. Jacqui accessorised with two love heart pendants around her neck and a black leather Guess handbag. The couple looked very much in their element as they posed together in the picturesque gardens. Clint and Jacqui's outing comes after the lovebirds revealed fans could simply show their support for the couple with flowers. They took to Instagram last week to urge fans to send them bunches of blooms to brighten up Clint's luxe Tasmanian digs. Clint and Jacqui, both shared a clip that showed the reality bride holding onto a bouquet that featured roses, chrysanthemums, and hydrangeas, as Clint's Samoyed pooches gather at Jacqui's feet. Jacqui can be seen bending down to allow Clint's dogs to sniff the flowers and both seemed quite taken with the classy arrangement. They were also apparently fans of the bouquet, admitting that they were eager to keep those arrangements coming. Captioning the post, they wrote: 'the apple doesn't fall far from the tree,' referencing the pooches' penchant for all things floral. They then added that they were not adverse to receiving flowers gratis, even providing followers with the details of their preferred florist.' If anyone wants to send us flowers anytime @westtamarflowers have our address on file,' they shared. Jacqui became known as one of the most controversial brides in recent MAFS memory due to her tumultuous relationship with ex-Ryan. Following their less-than-amicable split, it was revealed that Jacqui and Clint, who was paired with Lauren Hall, had struck up a romance.
