Mawra Hocane moves out of Islamabad apartment
Newlywed actor Mawra Hocane understands the bittersweet feelings attached to moving on, all too well. In a new Instagram post, she looked back on old memories as she packed up her belongings from her Islamabad apartment, bidding farewell to her old home with a carousel of photos and a heartfelt note. "Every time I bought a home, my mama said, 'May Allah grant you the chance to live here.' Today, I truly understood what that meant. How long one can live in one place is truly written. I was lucky enough to live here two years, on and off, before I got married," Mawra reflected. The Jafaa actor announced that she had finally relocated all her belongings from her old home to her new one, which took a long time and made her wistful. The photos that the Nauroz actor added to the carousel included a selfie flaunting the lounge, a mirror's peek into her bedroom, a glass-filtered view of the gallery, and a life-sized teddy bear. In some photos, her showpieces were loaded inside a vehicle, ready to be moved to her new home. "I absolutely love my husband's home, and I was thrilled to move into it. But no matter how seamless the process may be - which it was, thanks to my most incredible in-laws - I needed to take my time. I let the feeling sink in," she said. "It's never easy to leave your home and call a new place home." But Mawra also reassured her followers that she was getting used to the feeling. "Slowly but surely I'm feeling like it's my space, taking with me the things I've been too attached to from this house above," she said, referring to the intimate corners of her old home. "One piece at a time, I'm hijacking his entire space." In January, the actor gave a tour of her home on her YouTube channel M Live, going into details about how she furnished her apartment to transform it into the home of her dreams. Upon her fans' request, she shared a link to the vlog on Instagram Stories, writing, "Happy that I lived here for two years." Mawra tied the knot with Ameer Gilani earlier this year, sharing photos from each wedding event in February. Her posts accompanied the sweet hashtag #MawraAmeerHogayi, capturing wholesome moments with family members, including sister Urwa Hocane and brother-in-law Farhan Saeed. Around the same time, Mawra received the additional good news that her Bollywood debut from 2016, Sanam Teri Kasam, broke the record for the highest-grossing re-released film in India.

Realest wedding I've witnessed'
Congratulations are in order for the newlywed stars Mawra Hocane and Ameer Gilani, and for more reasons than one. Or so Anoushey Ashraf believes. Taking to Instagram Stories on Tuesday, the TV host shared just what makes this marriage so special. "Just had to say it. This has been the most wholesome and the realest wedding I've witnessed on the internet. With so many celebrity weddings happening over the years, the purity of heart and genuine joy of the couple (Mawra and Ameer) and their close ones have transcended the 'curated-ness' of weddings on social media. Congratulations to the bride and groom. May you always find comfort in each other!" Anoushey wrote. The VJ's comments are a nod to every close-knit aspect of the marital union, from the fashion choices to the execution of the events. With no prior news leading up to the big occasion, the two surprised netizens last Thursday by sharing photos from their Nikkah ceremony on social media. Mawra won hearts with her traditional ensemble, which was altered and modelled after the dupatta that originally belonged to her mother-in-law. In addition, the actor's jewellery set was also handed down by her great-mother-in-law, curating a look that paid respect to family heritage. The events themselves weren't short on sentimental value, as singer Farhan Saeed dedicated an emotional rukhsati melody to his sister-in-law. "Just stay a bit longer, Mawra," the song pleaded, causing the Jafaa actor to tear up. "I wasn't ready for this. We weren't ready for this! Love you so much, Farhan bhai," she wrote in an Instagram post shared on Tuesday. Even the fans agree that the festivities were no less than a tearjerker. "The cutest wedding ever!" one user wrote. "I've never seen such a humble and lovely family. May Allah bless you all," another commented. Anoushey wasn't the only celebrity to show love to Mawra. Another was Zhalay Sarhadi, who came to the Nauroz actor's defence on Instagram on Wednesday after a remark about the couple's age difference surfaced online. Although the comment only supported the four-year age gap between Mawra (thirty-two) and Ameer (twenty-eight), Zhalay had to point out some societal double standards. "Why is it so important to discuss the age difference when the woman is older as opposed to the man? This narrative is so skewed," she wrote.

If you're single and ready to mingle, tell Usman Mukhtar
Why worry about dating apps when Usman Mukhtar is here to keep traditions alive with his magical matchmaking skills? Even he seems to agree. On Thursday, he flaunted his secret talent in a cheeky Instagram post. "Swipe left, swipe right, why bother? I'm out here making matches faster than the internet with just a look! Single-handedly putting matchmaking websites out of business!" he declared. Usman's hilarious post comes in response to what the internet and his peers have already been saying. Kubra Khan, who kicked off her wedding festivities just this week, once shared a post on Instagram Stories, which resurfaced recently. "Whoever isn't getting married should be cast in a drama alongside Usman Mukhtar. Then the journey from engagement to marriage will be quicker than you know!" read the post, which featured Usman with Mahira Khan, Naimal Khawar, and Sarah Khan - all of whom later got married. "I've broken this curse. You're welcome, Usman," Kubra wrote then. "Whoever wants to break out of any curses or patterns should work with me." However, as fate would have it, the Na Maloom Afraad actor will soon tie the knot with Gohar Rasheed, so no curses were broken after all. Usman reshared the Story, proudly writing, "Kubra couldn't escape!" Now with his Jafaa co-star Mawra Hocane hitched to her love match, the internet can't help but speculate who's next. And Usman is gladly fuelling the fire online. In another Instagram Story, he promised that a collaboration with Indian matchmaker Sima Taparia is coming soon. Down in the comments section, Usman's followers savoured every bit of these shenanigans. "Sir, the moment I became your fan, my marriage got arranged," revealed a user. "Now, when can I expect to appear in a drama serial with you?" jested another. "You are literally everybody's lucky charm," yet another user wrote. "Ditch the Peer Sahab and go to Usman Bhai," one fan advised, while a male user wrote, "Recommend me to your next drama's casting director if there's a role of a brother." While many more requests poured in, others couldn't help but note that anyone who has set up a marriage business - be it dating apps or Rishta Aunties - is now in danger, all because of one Usman Mukhtar. "Didn't know Umro Ayyar had this superpower too," a fan wrote, referencing the 2024 sci-fi film that the 39-year-old actor starred in. While Usman continues to bring lovers together with his mysterious abilities, he also leads a life filled with love hand-in-hand with his better half. In October 2024, he celebrated his third anniversary with wife Zunaira Inam in a heartfelt note shared on Instagram. Reflecting on their three years of marriage, Usman opened up about the unique dynamic he shares with Zunaira. He wrote, "Three years ago, I married my best friend, who also happens to be my full-time reality check and part-time stand-up comedian, though I'm usually the punchline." The actor's admission paints a picture of a relationship filled with love and laughter, with Usman often finding himself the subject of his wife's jokes. The Chikkar actor went on to describe the way Zunaira manages to blend romance and humour seamlessly into their life together. "Somehow, you manage to make love feel like both a rom-com and a roast session, and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. You keep me laughing, humble and grounded," he added. Usman ended his message by expressing his gratitude for the joy Zunaira brings into his life, writing, "Thank you for making life better and funnier. Here's to more years of love, laughter and happiness. I love you so, so much Zunaira Inam! Happy third anniversary!"
