Amitabh Bachchan salutes India's 'Agniveers', celebrates country's booming GDP
Actor Amitabh Bachchan, in a series of posts on X, praised India's rise as the fourth-largest economy in the world. The megastar of Bollywood also shared a tribute to the Indian army by referring to them as 'Agniveers'.Bachchan, who's known for writing and organising his posts on social media, and on his blog, made two patriotic notes on Monday morning. The first post also mentioned the US, China and Germany as the top three economies in the world, with India on number first post read, "T 5390(ii) - ! India 4th largest economy in the World.. USA, China, Germany, India.. and 2.5 - 3 yrs will become 3rd largest.. United States: With a GDP of $30.51 trillion. China: With a GDP of $19.23 trillion. Germany: With a GDP of $4.74 trillion. India : approx $ 4 trillion (sic)." In his next post, he shared a picture of Indian soldiers, and wrote in Hindi, "T 5390 (iii) Agniveer Zindabad!! Jai Bharat Mata Ki !! In one of the first posts confirming the strikes, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh wrote on X: 'Bharat Mata ki jai.' Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister of Food Processing and Industry Chirag Paswan were among other prominent figures to post 'Jai Hind' after the strikes. North East Delhi MP Manoj Tiwari said in a post, 'April 22: Modi ko bata dena? May 7: Modi ne bata diya (April 22: Go and tell Modi? May 7: Modi told you)'. He was referring to statements from some Pahalgam attack survivors, who said the militants had told them to 'go tell (Prime Minister Narendra) Modi' what they had been through.
