Jaleel accuses Shirsat of acquiring multi-crore land at cheap rates, hands over docus to opposition leader Danve

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen ( AIMIM ) state president and Aurangabad MP Imtiaz Jaleel on Thursday accused Maharashtra minister and Dharashiv guardian minister Sanjay Shirsat of buying land worth crores of rupees at throwaway prices. Jaleel claimed the questionable deals were indicative of larger irregularities involving the misuse of political power and manipulation of land rates. During the day, the MP also wrote a letter to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis to seek an appointment for handing him over a set of documents in the case to him. Jaleel also submitted a set of land deal documents to Ambadas Danve, the leader of opposition in the Maharashtra Legislative Council. "We will bring this issue to the notice of the governor and raise it in the upcoming assembly session," Danve said, while assuring that the documents provided by Jaleel would be thoroughly examined and the matter would be pursued through appropriate legislative channels. According to Jaleel, Shirsat allegedly acquired multiple land parcels at prices significantly lower than their actual market value over the past few years. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Toulouse: Nous recherchons des personnes pour tester les nouvelles aides auditives HearPro En savoir plus Undo "Several plots were purchased either in his name or under the names of his close relatives. One such illegal land purchase was made in the name of his son," Jaleel alleged. He also raised questions over the vehicles used by the minister. "One of the cars used by Shirsat was imported from Dubai, but was not registered in his name. The vehicle officially listed under his name is different. Where did the rest of the vehicles come from? What is the source of funds?" he asked. Shirsat, when approached for a reaction, said, "Nothing will come out of these accusations." He declined to comment further. Jaleel also took a dig at state govt, suggesting selective inaction. "I have seen Danve work against injustice over the years. This case, involving the guardian minister and this district, is no different. Earlier, in the hotel land deal matter, the CM should have ordered an inquiry. Now, looking at the pace at which new properties are being acquired by Shirsat, it seems that the 'khoke' (cash boxes) may have run out, but the collection is still going on," Jaleel said. Jaleel targets guardian minister Shirsat over multiple land deals, demands high-level probe

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) state president and former MP Syed Imtiaz Jaleel raised new allegations against guardian minister Sanjay Shirsat on Wednesday. He accused Shirsat and his family of acquiring valuable land parcels at unusually low prices across Maharashtra, including prime areas in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Shajapur, and Trimbakeshwar. When contacted, Shirsat declined to address the allegations. "When he (Jaleel) takes a legal recourse, we will respond legally," Shirsat said. Meanwhile, based on inputs from the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar police, the Jalna police detained several of Shirsat's supporters who were allegedly en route to Sambhajinagar to protest against Jaleel by throwing cow dung at his residence. During a press conference, Jaleel said Shirsat obtained a 12,000 sqft plot near the district court on Jalna Road in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar at Rs 4,800 per sqft from Omkar and Jabinda builders. He claimed, "The property, purchased in the names of his wife Vijaya Shirsat and son Siddhant Shirsat in 2025, was bought for Rs 5.8 crore — a rate significantly below the prevailing market value." Jaleel alleged that a substantial govt land in Shajapur was acquired by Shirsat's sons, Siddhant and Tushar, at minimal costs. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo He added that a 10-acre parcel in Survey No. 8, previously owned by a dalit farmer, Laxman Bansode, was purchased for Rs 1.1 crore. Families of organ donors celebrate life at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in NYC

NEW YORK (PIX11) – More than 115,000 people in the United States are waiting for organ donations to thrive. More than 8,000 people are waiting in New York State alone. More Local News The single largest gathering of donor families and transplant recipients in the country was held at Saint Patrick's Cathedral. The ecumenical service was sponsored by the Transplant Recipients International Organization, often called TRIO, with the support of Live On New York. One of the speakers on the altar was Katrina Erskin, whose firstborn son Jaleel stopped breathing when he was just five weeks old back in 2000. Katrina then made the courageous decision to donate Jaleel's organs, saving two other babies' lives. 'This brings me healing from losing my son,' Erskin, who now works at LiveOnNY, told PIX11 News. 'I never thought I could feel so much joy, but I work with Live on New York, and it's amazing to see.' Katrina was surrounded by her father, her brother, and two more sons. 'I never envisioned what Jaleel would do in life, and now he is bigger than life because he gave life,' Philip Jones, Jaleel's grandfather, told PIX11 News. More Local News Another of Katrina's sons, Anthony Wilson, added, 'Even though a person has lost their life, to be able to give life, that just makes me happy all the time.' So many of the close to 2,000 people at this service called Remember and Rejoice are alive today because of the generosity of others, including the head of TRIO, who received a liver transplant. 'I don't understand what a family goes through in that heartbreaking moment,' Lorrinda Gray-Davis, a liver recipient and president of TRIO National, told PIX11 News. 'But I'm just in awe of the generosity they give to us in order for us to live.' Ken Kraetzer's beloved wife Kerri-Ann was hit by a car, and through his grief, he takes comfort in her donations of both kidneys and her liver. 'My wife Kerri will always be a hero organ donor,' Ken Kraetzer, a widower, told PIX11 News. ' We feel good about in in a really awful situation.'
