Jalen Rucker, Jorn Everson lead Army past Elon 83-78 in first round of CBI Tournament
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — Jalen Rucker had 27 points and Jorn Everson scored 22 to lead Army to an 83-78 victory over Elon in the first round of the CBI Tournament at the Ocean Center on Sunday. Army (17-15) advances to play Florida Gulf Coast in a Monday quarterfinal.

Sam Sherry finished with 23 points, 14 rebounds and two blocks to lead the Phoenix (17-16). Isaac Harrell added 20 points and seven rebounds. Andrew King scored 18. Army trailed by nine at the half before outscoring Elon 53-39 after the break. ___

(AP) — Jalen Rucker's 19 points helped Army defeat Holy Cross 68-65 on Wednesday night. Rucker had five assists for the Black Knights (13-10, 7-4 Patriot League). Josh Scovens added 16 points while going 7 of 16 from the floor, including 0 for 4 from 3-point range, and 2 for 6 from the line while they also had six rebounds. Ryan Curry went 4 of 9 from the field (1 for 6 from 3-point range) to finish with nine points. Max Green finished with 18 points and nine rebounds for the Crusaders (11-13, 3-8).
