Actor Parambrata Chattopadhyay and his wife Piya Chakraborty have become proud parents to a baby boy. The couple welcomed their first child on Sunday, June 1, at a private hospital in Kolkata. The news was shared with fans and well-wishers by social worker Ratnavali Roy, a close family friend, via social the good news on his official social media accounts, Parambrata wrote, "As we welcome our first child into this world, we wish to thank each and everyone for their warm wishes and prayers."advertisement"It's a baby boy, Our hearts are full. The day was doubly special as it coincided with Jamaishasthi, a traditional Bengali celebration for sons-in-law. Sources close to the family confirmed that both mother and baby are doing June also marks Parambrata's birthday month, making it extra special for the new couple had announced their pregnancy a day after Valentine's Day, hinting that their child was expected in June. Since then, both Parambrata and Piya had taken time off to prepare for the new chapter. Last month, Piya went on maternity leave and Parambrata too took a step back from his professional commitments to be by her this year, the couple took a brief babymoon in Goa.
