Governor, CM condole death of former ISRO scientist
Tamil Nadu Governor R.N. Ravi and Chief Minister M.K. Stalin condoled the death of former ISRO scientist Nellai S. Muthu.
In a social media post, the Raj Bhavan quoted the Governor: 'Deeply saddened by the passing of Thiru Nellai S. Muthu, a distinguished former ISRO scientist and an acclaimed Tamil writer.'
The former ISRO scientist's pioneering contributions to India's space programme and tireless efforts to make science accessible through Tamil literature have left a profound legacy, he said.
'His inspiring works bridged the worlds of science and language, touching lives and minds across generations. My heartfelt condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti!' the Governor said.
The Chief Minister recalled the late scientist has served in Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota and has also authored several books. He has also served with former President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, when he was a scientist.
'My deep condolences to the bereaved family members and friends who have lost Nellai S. Muthu, who made India proud and added to the richeness of Tamil language,' Mr. Stalin said.
The Governor also paid floral tributes to late freedom fighters Marudhu brothers on commemoration of Jambudweep Proclamation Day in the Raj Bhavan in Chennai.
