Smoke and ozone particulates from sinking air have prompted air quality alerts for parts of New England throughout Wednesday and most of Thursday. Most of Connecticut is under air quality alerts, as is part of Central Mass., a portion of Southern New Hampshire, and much of the Maine coast.
Air quality alerts are in place for Wednesday and Thursday with wildfire smoke and ozone particulate matter close to the surface.
