Patmos Library set to reopen May 27
JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — After abruptly closing on May 9, Patmos Library in Jamestown Township says it will reopen after Memorial Day weekend. The library had announced that it was temporarily closing after most of its staff had unexpectedly resigned. Patmos Library temporarily closes after staff resigns A special meeting was held on May 19 by the library's board to discuss staffing, according to their website. Patmos previously stated that its primary goal was to be prepared for the summer reading program. The library will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Tuesday. 2 taken to hospital after crash in Jamestown Twp
JAMESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people were taken to the hospital with serious injuries after a car crash in Jamestown Township on Saturday, Ottawa County Sheriff's Office says. It happened at the intersection of Adams Street and 40th Avenue, just before 6 p.m. According to deputies, a Jeep Liberty was traveling north on 40th Avenue and did not stop at the stop sign on Adams. The Jeep hit a Subaru traveling west on Adams, deputies say. The driver and the passenger in the Subaru were taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The driver in the Jeep had no injuries.
