Murder probe after man and woman found dead
A murder investigation is under way after a two people were found dead inside a home in Huddersfield. Jane Riddell, 61, and Lee Scott Riddell, 35, were found unresponsive at an address in Greenlea Court by officers on 3 February, with both pronounced dead a short time later. West Yorkshire Police said a murder investigation had been launched after a post-mortem examination determined Ms Riddell's death as suspicious. The force, which has only just released the details of the incident, said Mr Riddell's death was not being treated as suspicious, adding that officers were not looking for anyone else in connection with their deaths. A police spokesperson said an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding their deaths was ongoing. Jane Riddell, 61, and her 35-year-old son, Lee Scott Riddell, were found at the address in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire on February 3. The shock has prompted officers to launch a murder investigation into Jane's death. Officers have confirmed that Lee's death is not being treated as suspicious and they are not looking for anyone else in relation to either death. West Yorkshire Police said they rushed to the house at 11.11am after being called by someone concerned for the mother and son. A spokesperson said once emergency services attended the property they found a woman and a man 'unresponsive', with both being pronounced dead a short time later. Jane's daughter has paid tribute to her, saying she was a 'proud and devoted grandma' Adding: 'Mum. Where do I do I speak about such an amazing women in a few words. 'Such a caring, thoughtful person - we will all be lost without you. I'd do anything to just have a single moment back. 'This definitely wasn't your time, and I can't believe you was just taken from us all in this way, it's unforgivable.'

A SINGLE mother and her son have tragically been found dead in a house, with cops treating the mum's death as murder. Jane Riddell, 61, and her son Lee Scott Riddell, 35, were found dead in Huddersfield on February 3. 2 Cops launched a murder investigation into Jane's death. But they say Lee's death is not being treated as suspicious. Police are not looking for anyone else in relation to either death.
