Wexford woman named pharmacy technician of the year at awards
The staff gathered at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin for the awards which took place on Saturday, May 24, and they anxiously awaited the results of the nominations of which they were listed in four categories, including Independent Pharmacy of the Year. The annual awards recognise outstanding achievements in the pharmacy sector across Ireland, and the 2025 ceremony, attended by industry professionals and stakeholders, highlighted the importance of innovation, patient-centred care, and professional development within the field.
On the night, Janet Corish, from Campile Allcare Pharmacy, was crowned the Originalis and Pluripharm Community Pharmacy Technician of the Year.
'This is great recognition of the team's dedication and positive impact in their local community. This achievement marks a significant milestone in the pharmacy's ongoing mission to deliver exceptional healthcare services and contribute positively to the community's well-being,' commented Campile Allcare Pharmacy spokesperson, Dearbhla Walsh on the four nominations.
Also commenting on the success of Ms Corish, Ms Walsh described the Community Pharmacy Technician of the Year as 'a dedicated member of the Campile Allcare team.'
'The award is an acknowledgement of her exceptional leadership and innovation in community pharmacy services. Her efforts have significantly contributed to the pharmacy's reputation for delivering high-quality care to the local community,' said Ms Walsh.
'This award recognises the vital role of pharmacy technicians and celebrates excellence, leadership and innovation in supporting modern pharmacy practice. Janet was recognised for championing the evolving role of pharmacy technicians,' she continued.
