Police name women killed in two-car crash in Moray
Police have named two women who died in a two-car crash in accident happened at about 12:30 on Tuesday on the A98 between Buckie and Fochabers, near Enzie, and involved a Vauxhall Insignia and Peugeot Lawson, 32, from Mosstodloch, who was driving the Vauxhall, and Janet Cowie, 77, from Buckie, who was a passenger in the Peugeot, were both pronounced dead at the 77-year-old male driver of the Peugeot was flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries. In a statement released by police Ms Lawson's family said: "Amanda was a much-loved partner and mother to three young boys."She will be sorely missed by family and friends."Both families have asked for their privacy to be Dave Cooper said: "Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of both women who died."Inquiries continue to establish the full circumstances and we ask anyone who can assist who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch."

Tributes paid to 'much-loved' mother of three who died in crash
The collision happened on the A98, close to Enzie near Buckie in Moray, at around 12.30pm on Tuesday June 10 and involved a Vauxhall Insignia and a Peugeot 2008. Police said Amanda Lawson, 32, from Mosstodloch, who was driving the Vauxhall, died at the scene. Janet Cowie, 77, from Buckie, a passenger in the Peugeot, also died at the scene. They said: 'Amanda was a much-loved partner and mother to three young boys. 'She will be sorely missed by family and friends. We would ask that our privacy is respected at this time and we and her young family are allowed to grieve.' The driver of the Peugeot, a 77-year-old man, was taken by air ambulance to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious injuries and remains there undergoing treatment. Police are appealing for information about the crash. Sergeant Dave Cooper, of the Roads Policing Unit in Elgin, said: 'Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of both women who died. 'Inquiries continue to establish the full circumstances and we ask anyone who can assist who has not already spoken to officers to get in touch.
