Janey Baker earns two medals in State Track Meet
CHINA SPRING, Texas (FOX 44) — Janey Baker claimed second place in the 300 meter hurdles and third place in the 100 meter hurdles to win her first medals in the State Track Meet.
Baker has advanced to the State Track Meet in all three years of her high school career but this year she found herself on the podium after posting a personal record 42.31 time in the 300 meter hurdles and a person best 13.79 in the 100 meter hurdles.
'I think the competition, in the girls around, really helped me because having someone right next to me just pushes me,' Baker said.
The China Spring medalist has one more season left where she will no doubt have her eyes set on a gold medal.
