Human Trafficking Task Force to host monthly meeting on Feb. 11

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado will host its monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 11. This meeting will feature Jason Frazier, Executive Director of the Bakhita Mountain Home. He joined FOX21 Morning News on Monday, Feb. 10 to talk about what he plans to discuss. Frazier said Bakhita Mountain Home was started in 2018 by a couple of Catholic nuns. 'We're a residential program, confidential residential program, where residents can come, that have been unfortunately involved in human trafficking, victims of human trafficking, and they can stay in our program for up to two years,' said Frazier. 'We help them with absolutely everything, there's no charge to them, so they can focus on getting better and hopefully leading a productive life.' The Human Trafficking Task Force meetings are open to the public and free to attend. They are held every second Tuesday of the month at 5:45 p.m. at Reclaiming Hope at 615 Wooten Road, Suite 140 in Colorado Springs. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Parke County Sheriff speaks on Warrant Wednesday program

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — One local sheriff's department is using the power of social media to help find individuals with active warrants. Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier says that they have been doing Warrant Wednesday for over two years now. Every Wednesday, the department posts a photo of the person in hopes that the public can provide information that may lead to their arrest. Frazier says that each photograph gets between two and three hundred shares, along with around 100,000 views on each photo. 'I'd say we're at about an 80 percent success rate with it, so I think it's successful,' Frazier says. 'There's many arrests that I'm proud of, we've had many arrests made, people turn themselves in. We even had an individual turn himself in saying he did not want to be featured on Warrant Wednesday, which I thought was amusing.' Posts can be found on their Facebook and Instagram pages.
