Police looking to identify driver in stolen landscaping truck involved in collisions in Ottawa

A truck that was involved in several collisions in Ottawa on May 20, 2025, had been stolen and was not being driven by an employee of the company named on the side of the vehicle, OPP say. (Ontario Provincial Police/X) The Ottawa Police Service is asking for the public's help locating a suspect in the theft of a landscaping truck last week. On May 20, police received a call about a stolen dump truck in Ottawa Police say the vehicle was seen travelling eastbound on Eagleson Road and onto Highway 417. 'The stolen vehicle collided with multiple vehicles and came to a stop on Highway 417 just east of Carling Avenue,' police said. A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene and charged with possession of stolen property. Police say a second person ran away and a canine track was not successful. Last week, the Ontario Provincial Police posted a photo of a pickup truck it says was stolen and involved in multiple collisions on Highway 417. The truck says Jason's Landscaping and Snowplowing on the side.
