A man forced his way into a woman's home and raped her in what police have described as a "terrifying ordeal".Jason Wren, 32, of Redmayne Drive, Hastings, wore a mask when he attacked the woman, who he not know, at at a property in Hastings, on 30 woman opened the door expecting a delivery, but was subjected to an "ordeal that lasted around 15 minutes", police was found guilty of rape, attempted rape and trespassing with intent to commit a sexual offence at Hove Crown Court on Tuesday.
He had grabbed the woman by the throat, bruising her neck, and told her not to make a noise otherwise he would hurt her, according to the Crown Prosecution then forced her upstairs, before raping her, telling her he would kill her if she Ch Insp Mark Cullimore, from Sussex Police, said: "This was a terrifying ordeal that happened in the victim's own home, a place she should be able to feel completely safe. "I'm pleased the jury were able to see through his claims and rightly hold him to account for his predatory and violent behaviour."Wren will be sentenced on 12 September.
