We were there to explain India's 'new normal': Jay Panda on global outreach campaign
BJP MP Jay Panda, who headed the global outreach delegations on Operation Sindoor which visited Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Algeria, talked about the message they sent across and how it was received by the countries. When asked about what was your message to strategic partners like Saudi Arabia and how was your message received by other Islamic countries through this visit since Pakistan continues to play the Muslim card? Jay Panda said, "Our message was very clear. Our message is that we've gone through this same cycle of terrorism for 78 years. Pakistan sending cross-border terrorists and the whole cycle, the whole rigmarole, provoking attacks and nuclear blackmail. And so we were there to explain the new normal, new India's new normal, which is that we will retaliate and we will specifically target terrorist bases."

BJP MP Jay Panda, who recently led a delegation to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Algeria, and Kuwait as part of India's global outreach following the Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor, has said that all four nations - members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) - view Pakistan as a "problem child" despite their sympathy for the Pakistani people amid the country's financial to India Today TV's Managing Editor Gaurav Sawant after the delegation's return, Panda highlighted the warm reception accorded to the Indian MPs and claimed that the countries they visited made a clear distinction between India and asked how the Islamic nations received India's message following the 87-hour military standoff with Pakistan, amid Islamabad's continued attempts to play the "Muslim card", Panda said, "First, I think it's important to note that we had a phenomenal reception and excellent engagements in all these four countries. And the fact is that India doesn't really need to justify itself. All these countries have had a relationship with India going back thousands of years," he added, "They know that we have not invaded any of our neighbouring countries. Also, these countries have been the victims of terrorism themselves and have taken very, very strong actions against terrorism. So they're on the same page when we go with this message."advertisement Jay Panda said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had worked towards building a relationship with other countries, which helped the delegations and set an impetus for them to easily convey their message."In the last decade, PM Modi has worked very hard to build a relationship with the leadership of these nations. "Some of them have given him their highest civilian honours. They have huge regard for him. They have huge respect for India. PM Modi To Meet All-Party Outreach Delegations On Op Sindoor
New Delhi: The all-party delegations sent across the world to explain Operation Sindoor are on way home and the first delegation led by Jay Panda, lands in Delhi tomorrow. Sources said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet the members of all the delegations once they return. The meeting could be held on June 9 or 10, sources said. The delegations, sources added, will brief PM Modi about the discussions they held with the world leaders. Before that, the delegations will meet External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. The meeting with the team led by Baijayant Panda will be held at 2.30 pm. Mr Panda's team had visited Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Algeria. Shrikant Shinde's delegation will meet Jaishankar on June 5 at 10.30 am. The delegation headed by Sanjay Jha will reach Delhi on June 3 at 9.30 pm, the one led by Shrikant Shinde will reach the next morning. Seven delegations were sent around the world in the wake of Operation Sindoor - India's retaliation to the April 22 terror attack on Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam on April 22 that cost 26 lives and the subsequent Pakistani aggression on Indian cities and the border areas. For four days - May 7 to May 10- Pakistan had rained drones and missiles, all of which were successfully intercepted by India's multi-layered air defence system. It was one of the worst clashes in decades, with both sides trading air, drone and missile strikes, as well as artillery and small arms fire along the border. On May 31, the armed forces had acknowledged for the first time that they had lost an unspecified number of fighter jets in the clash. Chief of Defence Staff Anil Chauhan, however, rubbished Pakistan's claims that it had down six Indian fighter jets. Shortly after, India sent seven delegations of leaders cutting across party lines to explain Operation Sindoor and India's stance on terror activities backed by Pakistan.
