Real-time analysis helps find Springfield suspects following shooting on Bridge Street
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Two Springfield men were arrested after a loaded firearm and drugs were seized following a shooting on Friday.

The Springfield Police Department states that on Friday at around 2:40 p.m., officers were sent to the area of Bridge Street and Pearl Street for a ShotSpotter activation. The Springfield Police Real-Time Analysis Center (R-TAC) received descriptions and further information about the suspects, such as that they entered a building on the 0-100 block of Pearl Street and two victims were shot at.
The suspects were located in an apartment, and a ghost gun capable of holding 15 rounds of ammunition, 35 capsules of crack-cocaine, and $88 in cash were found inside a backpack.
The suspects, who were identified as 18-year-old Jayden Colon of Springfield and a 17-year-old, were arrested.

Carrying a Firearm without a License
Possession of a High-Capacity Magazine/Feeding Device
Improper Storage of a Firearm
Due to the age of the 17-year-old, his age, his name, booking photo, and charges will not be released.
