In an attempt to start building out their future recruiting classes, the Spartans have been hosting the normal amount of camp events to identify future prospects. On Sunday, the Spartans hosted a 7-on-7 tournament that has provided a host of new offers. The latest known offer has gone out to an instate prospect, Jayden Evans, an athlete from Harper Woods (MI). A 6-foot-1, 170 pounder, he is most likely going to translate as a defensive back at the next level. He is a member of the 2028 recruiting class. Evans and Hopwood grab hat-tricks in Broughton United win
Top scorer Jayden Evans and Lewis Hopwood hit hat-tricks for the Championship champions with Jake Jones and Nathan Swann-Jones completing the job. Sychdyn sewed up second place after Ross Walker (2), Shay Davies and Linden Puckey scored in a 4-1 win at Yr Wyddgrug for whom Lewis James replied. Rhydymwyn, in third, were also 4-1 winners at bottom club Cei Connah while fourth-placed Acton won a 6-4 thriller at home to Cefn Druids. Sam Giles and Ethan Callaghan bagged doubles with Sean Price and captain Andrew Bithell also netting. Matthew Hayes, Andrew Roberts, Jamie Roberts and Blake Parry hit back for Druids. Overton Recreational enjoyed a top-five finish, signing off with a 6-1 win at Bellevue. Captain Nathan Tombs scored four with Jim Roberts and Pete Thedens also on target as Nigel Guramatunhi replied. Anthony Weaver (2), Jonny Crossley (2) and Mason Lowery were Aston Park Rangers' scorers in a 5-0 victory at Johnstown while Holywell United sneaked a 3-2 win at Deeside Dragons. Jake Smith and Kieran Hughes scored for the hosts with Harvey Birch, Owen Marley and an own goal helping Holywell to victory. Mynydd Isa have secured a league double. Their first team are Premier Division champions and a 5-0 thrashing of Cefn Albion sealed the Group A Division title for the reserves. Goals from George Davies, Michael Whales, Jack Casey, Jay Wiles and Josh Holmes did the trick, coupled with second-placed Rhos Aelwyd's 3-0 derby demise at home to Penycae. Captain Josh Hughes was Penycae's star man with a hat-trick. In Group B, Josh Price and Alan Huxley earned Lex XI a 2-0 win over Brymbo while Penyffordd Lions beat Castell Alun 3-1 with Macken Tiley-Phillips, Lewis Dallimore and Daniel Shaw on the scoresheet. Jarrod Christopher hit back for Alun.
