RCMP charge man with 10 offences after fatal collision in Wolfville, N.S.
RCMP charged a man with 10 offences after investigating a fatal collision on Hwy. 101 in Wolfville last October, said a Monday news release.
Police safely arrested Jeffrey Doyle, 52, from Kentville, N.S. He is charged with:
two counts of criminal negligence causing death
three counts of criminal negligence causing bodily harm
five counts of dangerous operation of a conveyance
Doyle was released with conditions. He is scheduled to appear in Kentville provincial court on July 9.
Kings District RCMP, fire and EHS responded to the five-vehicle collision on Oct. 12 at approximately 8:26 a.m.
A 62-year-old woman and a child from East Kingston, N.S., both occupants of a black GMC Acadia were both pronounced dead at the scene. A third occupant, a 40-year-old woman was transported with life threatening injuries via LifeFlight, said the release.
Police said the investigation that led to charges against Doyle was supported by RCMP forensic identification and a collision reconstructionist.
