SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — The U.S. Marshals Service announced late Wednesday that agents arrested a man in the Dominican Republic sought in the killing of four people in New York last year, including two children. Luis Francisco Soriano, also known as Jefry Yevo, had been working at a hotel in the popular tourist coastal town of Punta Cana, the agency said in a statement.

Second arrest made in Irondequoit family homicide case

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Dominican man suspected by authorities in the Knapp Avenue quadruple homicide from Rochester was located and arrested Wednesday, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. 31-year-old Luis Francisco Soriano, aka Jefry Yevo, 31, was wanted by Irondequoit police on four charges of second-degree murder, as well as narcotics charges. BACKGROUND: 30-year-old Fraime Ubaldo, 26-year-old Marangely Moreno-Santiago, 4-year-old Evangeline Ubaldo-Moreno, and 2-year-old Sebastian Ubaldo-Moreno were all found dead in a fire at their Irondequoit home in August 2024. Julio Cesar Pimentel Soriano, 34, was arrested in September 2024 in connection to the death. He was wanted for a 2019 murder in the Dominican Republic. He allegedly traveled to Puerto Rico illegally and got a fake New York ID, which he used to enter the US mainland. He was indicted in October on murder, burglary, arson, and kidnapping charges. Suspects indicted in 'horrific' Irondequoit murder, arson of family of four Investigators found Luis Francisco Soriano left by boat to the Dominican Republic 'after becoming aware of the presence of federal marshals on the island.' It was later learned he was working at a hotel in Punta Cana, where he was arrested after he finished his shift.
