Canfield's tournament run ends at regionals
CANTON, Ohio (WKBN) – No. 7 seeded Streetsboro knocked off top-seeded Canfield 51-45 in the Division IV Girls Basketball Regional Semifinals on Wednesday night at the Canton Memorial Fieldhouse. Jenna Triveri led the Cardinals with 16 points in the setback. With the loss, Canfield ends the season with an overall record of 23-3. Streetsboro improves to 22-3 on the campaign. Canfield cruises to 2nd district title in 3 years
LORDSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Canfield cruised to a 62-37 win over Crestwood to claim the Division IV Northeast 2 District Championship in girls high school basketball. The Cardinals seized momentum early with a 16-0 run to begin the game before going on to win by 25 points. Canfield junior Jenna Triveri led the Cardinals with 20 points and Marina Koenig also scored 15. With the win, the Lady Cards improve to 23-2 on the season after a third straight victory.
