Smiles All Around: Burlington Ready for Smile Cookie Week

The Burlington Food Bank is once again feeling the sweet love as they celebrate being named the recipient of the Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign for another consecutive year in Burlington. This heartwarming community initiative raises funds through the sale of the brand's special Smile cookies, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the local charities that make a difference every day. Smile Cookie Week, a tradition beloved by Canadians, has become a symbol of community connection and generosity. Over the years, it has raised millions of dollars for charities across the country. For the Burlington Food Bank, being selected as a beneficiary is more than just an honour — it's an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on food insecurity in the community. The funds raised go directly toward providing essential food support to individuals and families who need it most. As the Burlington Food Bank gears up for another exciting Smile Cookie Week, they're encouraging everyone in the community to get involved, whether by purchasing cookies, volunteering to decorate them, or spreading the word about this sweet initiative. 'We're very excited to be paired up here again with the Burlington Food Bank. We're so happy to have everyone,' said Burlington Tim Hortons owner Jeremy Mander. 'One hundred percent of the proceeds [go] through and help families within our community. Since the first campaign in 1996, we have raised $129 million. Last year, our guests helped raise nearly $18.8 million. Since 2012 in Burlington alone, the Tim Hortons owners have raised almost $900,000 for the Burlington Food Bank.' These staggering numbers speak to the incredible generosity of the Burlington community and the enduring spirit of giving that defines Smile Cookie Week. Every $2 spent on a Smile Cookie translates into direct support for those struggling with food insecurity. The Burlington Food Bank, known for its unwavering commitment to serving the community with dignity and respect, ensures that every dollar raised goes toward its goal of nourishing local families in need. In addition to buying cookies, locals have the unique opportunity to join the fun and help decorate these iconic sweet treats. Participating in cookie decorating is a hands-on way to contribute, connect with others, and bring a little more joy to the campaign. This interactive event is a hit with families, friends, and organizations looking to give back in a creative way. The sales for the Smile Cookies, priced at $2 each, officially kick off on Monday, April 28, and run through Sunday, May 4, 2025. Every cookie sold represents a step toward alleviating food insecurity in Burlington. Don't miss the chance to make a difference this Smile Cookie Week. Whether you're indulging in these delicious cookies, volunteering your time, or spreading the word, every effort counts. Together, we can ensure that everyone in our community has access to the nourishment and support they deserve. Sign up to decorate cookies at a Tim Hortons near you: .
