Danny Dyer and Mark Wright 'finally declare a truce on their bitter feud' - after decade of trading social media barbs and THAT V Festival fight
Their feud has divided two of Essex's most famous families for more than a decade. But it seems that Danny Dyer and Mark Wright have finally buried the hatchet thanks to their female family members playing peacemaker. The two stars are considered TV royalty, with their families also making their names in the showbiz industry, but have long been seen as rivals. Their squabbles began all the way in 2013, when Danny, 47, slammed Mark, 38, for being 'arrogant', before things reportedly got physical at a charity football game. Since then there have been several slinging matches on social media, with both stars' family members getting involved, culminating in an infamous altercation at V Festival in 2016. However, it appears that the longstanding feud between the actor and the TOWIE star has somewhat thawed, after Danny was spotted chatting to Mark's sister Jess Wright in the smoking area of the BAFTA TV Awards this month, following his big win. Fellow reality star Jess is said to be good pals with Danny's eldest daughter Dani Dyer as well, with the two women following each other on Instagram and messaging regularly. While Jo also heaped praise on Mark's newborn baby girl, Palma, with his wife Michelle Keegan, admitting she wished Dani had chosen the same name for her little girls. She said: 'Do you know what I love? I love the name Palma. I said to Dani, "Oh my god, why did we not name your little girls Palma." That's where my dad is from.' While a source told the publication that there was 'no bad blood' between Mark and Danny anymore, as they had both grown up and were concentrating on their careers, insisting they were typical 'Essex blokes' that were 'full of bravado'. He isn't a fighter just because he plays good acting rolls as a hard man does not mean he is that in real life. [sic] 'I admit I was shouting that Mark Wright is a c***. Because his silly mates thought it was okay to barge past my dad knowing he was drunk, my heart is broken as I witnessed the whole thing.' In 2018, Mark booked a DJ residency at the Hotel BH Mallorca in Magaluf, and swirling reports claimed it was to avoid another festival run-in with Danny. However, when approached by MailOnline, a representative for Mark had a brutal response to the claim. They said: 'Who is Danny Dyer and why would I care about him? Mark has a big new job that he starts at next week and we're all excited for him.' And in 2023, when Danny returned to Soccer Aid, it was reported by The Sun that he waited years to make a comeback because he didn't want to play with Mark. At the time, an insider said: 'Danny is a huge football fan and Soccer Aid is a dream gig for him. Previously he's refused to take part if Mark is on the team. How decade-long bitter feud between Danny Dyer and Mark Wright is over… with pair even ‘having respect for each other'
THE explosive fight between hardman actor Danny Dyer and ex Towie star Mark Wright was the talk of V festival back in 2016, I remember it well. The brawl resulted in both parties having to keep a wide berth, Danny having a black eye and wife Jo hiding in her tent, as they were supposed to be celebrating their stag and hen dos. 11 11 11 I remember Jo telling me at the time she just wanted to enjoy headliner Justin Bieber. Now, in an exclusive interview with Danny's missus Jo, she has revealed that it is in fact friendly Jess, a mainstay on the showbiz circuit, who has helped smooth over the rift. 'He sees her at the gym and he saw her at an event a couple of weeks ago and Jess was there and they were cool, they speak. There is nothing there.' Writing on Twitter, he joked: 'My worst nightmare would be listening to Heart FM while eating an Oykos yoghurt. It would be like p***ing razor blades.' Ex-footballer Josh replied: 'You must still be hurting from when Mark gave you a slap in the changing room that day. Get over it you melt.' Danny then informed his followers that the slap happened at a 'charity football match for terminally ill children' and accused Mark of hiding behind his dad after the slap. He added: 'What a geezer. 'Then Danny came round the corner to intervene and I saw him throw a punch at one of them.' Danny's onscreen son on EastEnders, Danny 'Boy' Hatchard, piled in and started throwing punches, as Dani continued with her verbal attack. Another eyewitness described the scenes as 'complete carnage'. Danny is not an aggressive person. He wouldn't have wanted to fight anyone.
