Gulf Shores International Airport to celebrate first commercial flight with Allegiant

GULF SHORES, Ala. (WKRG) — Gulf Shores International Airport will celebrate its first commercial flight on Wednesday. News 5 reported on the announcement in March, as the airport worked on the new terminal that has everything a traveler would expect at a commercial airport, including a ticket counter, baggage claim, and Hertz rental service. 'This is the first terminal in Gulf Shores welcoming commercial air service on Allegiant Airlines,' Gulf Shores International Airport Director Jesse Fosnaugh said. He said the first flight will fly in from Knoxville and return to Knoxville.
