Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Hajjar received in his office at the ministry, Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon Jesús Santos Aguado, with whom he discussed the general situation and ways to enhance joint cooperation. Minister Hajjar also received in his office, the Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon Murat Lütem. The meeting reportedly discussed the latest developments and the bilateral relations between the two countries.

Aoun, Gemayel discuss elections as Spain invites president to UN Development Conference
Kataeb Party leader Samy Gemayel met with President Joseph Aoun to discuss the country's general situation and the ongoing process of municipal and mukhtar elections. In a separate meeting, President Aoun received a formal letter from Spain's Ambassador to Lebanon, Jesús Santos Aguado, conveying an invitation from King Felipe VI. The invitation is for Lebanon to participate in the fourth United Nations International Conference on Financing for Development, scheduled in Seville from June 30 to July 3.

Minister of Culture, Spanish Ambassador discuss strengthening cultural cooperation
The Minister of Culture Ghassan Salameh received the Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jesús Santos Aguado, in his office at the National Library in Sanayeh on a protocolary visit, during which the ambassador congratulated him on assuming office. The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss bilateral relations, particularly in the cultural sector, and the importance of strengthening cultural cooperation between Spain and Lebanon at various levels. Their discussions focused on organizing cultural events, signing a memorandum of understanding, and enhancing collaboration between the National Libraries of both countries through expertise exchange and joint initiatives.
