New aerial photos reveal giant scale of the $1bn+ Jewel of Baghdad project
Baghdad ( – New aerial photography has revealed the immense scale of the 'Jewel of Baghdad,' a new mixed-use development valued at over $1 billion that is set to become Iraq's largest integrated tourism, entertainment, and residential project.
Located in the Al-Dura district near the Two-Story Bridge, the development consists of three main parts. The first, a massive commercial and entertainment hub named Iraq Mall, is reportedly near completion and scheduled to open soon. This will be followed later by a hotel resort, whose structure is complete, and a residential section featuring 13 towers, each 31 stories high.
The project's features underscore its colossal scale: a 600,000 sqm shopping center with 600 stores, 125 restaurants and cafes, a 40,000 sqm interactive dancing fountain, a large indoor amusement park, and a 14-screen cinema complex, all supported by parking for 7,000 vehicles.
