Polytechnic entrance test conducted peacefully in city amid tight security

Ranchi: The
Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board
(JCECEB) conducted the
Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination
(PECE) 2025 on Sunday in offline mode. The examination was held from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm across various centres in the state. The test is conducted annually for admission into
diploma-level polytechnic courses
in govt and private institutes across the state.
The
PECE 2025
was conducted at nine centres across the district including Vivekananda Vidya Mandir in Sector-2, Dhurwa, Saint Anna Intermediate College Purulia Road, Ram Tahal Choudhary High School in Booti, Saint John's High School Karbala in Tank Road, Greenland Public School Prem Nagar in Hatia, Government Girls +2 High School Bariatu, Saint Paul College Church Road, Saint Anna Girls High School in Dr. Kamil Bulke Path, and Ursuline Convent Girls High School in Dr.
Kamil Bulke Path. All centres reported smooth conduct of the examination.
To ensure a fair and peaceful exam process, the district administration enforced prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, restricting gatherings and the use of loudspeakers or weapons within a 200-metre radius of the centres from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Ritika Kumari, a candidate from Ormanjhi, said, "The paper was slightly tricky, especially the physics section, but overall it was manageable. The arrangements were decent."
