Precious The Planner and Tyler ICU add star power to Zambia's opulent millionaire wedding

Jimmy Karabassis and Kadiatou 'Kadi' Ndiaye's star-studded wedding in Zambia captured attention with its opulence, including performances by music icons Diamond Platnumz and Tyler ICU.
The event, organised by renowned wedding and event planner Precious The Planner, combined high-end elegance with the vibrant presence of Zambian and international influences.
From Kadi's dazzling emerald jewellery to luxury details, the wedding showcased an unmatched level of extravagance.
One of South Africa's foremost wedding and events planners, Precious Thamaga-Mazibuko, flew to Zambia in mid-May to oversee a lavish wedding celebration for a mining magnate and his new wife.

No stranger to the mining business, Kadi is the daughter of emerald mining giant Abdoulaye Ndiaye, the founder and chairperson of Grizzly Mining. The Lusaka Times reports that the Senegalese-born businessman started his mining career in 1972, specialising in emerald mining in the country's Copperbelt province. The Karabassis family's mining operations are also located in the region in a town called Chingola.

Jimmy and Kadi had Zambian news outlets and social media abuzz as talk of their wedding went viral following leaked clips of Tanzanian musician and Netflix reality TV star Diamond Platnumz performing at the wedding.
Several reports published in Tanzania estimate that he was paid $700 000 (roughly R12.6 million) for the intimate performance, while Zambian artist Yo Maps was paid a $100 000 (about R1.8 million) fee. How much South African DJ Tyler ICU was paid for his set remains unclear.
On Tuesday, Thamaga-Mazibuko, popularly known as Precious The Planner, shared a glimpse of the soon-to-be-published wedding video that documented both the set-up process and the main event at New Kasama's high-end Glynview Events Venue.

Through her Precious Celebrations event company, Thamaga-Mazibuko has planned celebrations for stars like Akani and Terisa Simbine, Bonang Matheba and Keitumetse 'K Naomi' Phakathi.
Kadi also flew Nigerian makeup artist Omoye Esekhile from Lagos to Lusaka to do her makeup, but it was her emerald and diamond wedding jewellery that had people talking as they threw around guesses about its estimated value.
