Special summer trains between Ernakulam & Velankanni
Kochi: Southern Railways has announced special trains between Ernakulam and Velankanni to accommodate extra rush of passengers during summer season. It stated that train no. 06061/06062 Ernakulam Jn – Velankanni – Ernakulam Jn Express will be the special trains, operational from May no.

06061 Ernakulam Jn – Velankanni Express Special will depart from Ernakulam Jn at 11.50pm on Wednesdays (May 14, 21, 28 and June 4), and will arrive at Velankanni at 3.15pm the next the return direction, train no. 06062 Velankanni – Ernakulam Jn Express Special will depart from Velankanni at 6.40pm Thursdays (May 15, 22, 29 and June 5) and will arrive at Ernakulam Jn at 11.55am the next coach composition includes one AC two-tier coach, three AC three-tier coaches, eight sleeper class coaches, four general second class coaches and two second class coaches (disabled-friendly).
