Deepak Tijori is one of the most talented actors that Hindi film industry has ever produced. Before starting his career in films, he used to work as a front officer manager in Hotel Searock, Mumbai. He use to sit outside the offices of famous production companies, and gave multiple auditions. Deepak even auditioned for Maine Pyar Kiya, but got rejected. The role then eventually went to Salman Khan, who became a breakthrough star after his successful debut in the 1989 musical romantic drama.
Deepak eventually marked his Bollywood debut in a supporting role in the superhit romantic drama Aashiqui (1990), which also marked the debut of its leading pair Rahul Roy and Anu Aggarwal. Following that, he portrayed many notable yet supporting characters, in films like Sadak, Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander, Vaastav, Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa, Baadshah, and among others.
His first film as a lead hero was Phele Nasha (1993), which was a major box office flop. Later, he ventured into direction with the erotic comedy Oops! in 2003. Deepak then helmed few other unmemorable projects such as Fareb, Khamoshh… Khauff Ki Raat, Tom, Dick, and Harry, Fox, and Do Lafzon Ki Kahani. His last release Tipppsy (2024) was helmed and headlined by him. In 2006, he participated in reality TV show Bigg Boss, which saw Rahul Roy, his Aashiqui co-star as a winner.
On the personal front, Deepak Tijori grabbed headlines after the infamous dispute with his wife, Shivani in 2017. Reports claim that he was discovered that their marriage wasn't legally valid, as Shivani had never divorced her first husband. Also he was thrown out of their home, prompting him to seek legal advice.
Amid the ongoing dispute over their marriage, Shivani reportedly demanded financial assistance from Deepak, putting the actor in a tough spot. While he was not legally allowed to provide financial help due to their illegal marriage, he reportedly felt pressure to do so. Deepak's dispute with his wife also took a toll on his relationship with their daughter Samara. He grew distanced from him surrounding the legal complications.
As their marriage controversy grew, Deepak expressed shock over her the situation, while Shivani revealed that he was fully aware that his first marriage wasn't legally dissolved. She also legally accused him of trying to damage her reputation, pretending to be unaware about the whole scenario.
