A TWISTED killer who murdered two women including his partner and knifed his teen son in a Christmas Day bloodbath has been jailed. Jazwell Brown repeatedly stabbed 38-year-old Jo Pearson 31 times at home in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, in an unprovoked attack. 6 6 6 The monster, 49, then targeted his 18-year-old son Jake Brown when the youngster heroically tried to pull Brown off Jo. He also stabbed his partner's dog Tilly multiple times before battering Jo to death with a baseball bat. Brown then turned his attention to neighbour Teohna Grant, 24, after bursting into her home. When her boyfriend Bradley Latter desperately tried to help her, he was also stabbed during the horror on December 25 last year. Brown then left Teohna with five fatal sharp force injuries - including a deep wound to the neck - before he fled the gruesome scene in his car. The double killer made a string of chilling remarks to police, telling officers: "Not self-defence, murder. It's plain murder." He also described his chilling actions as him going "bloody loony". The monster has now been jailed for life after pleading guilty to two counts of murder and attempted murder. Brown also admitted possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal, a Staffordshire bull terrier. The court heard he has 10 previous convictions for 15 separate offences - including attacking a former partner for which he was convicted in 2009. Prosecutor Deanna Heer KC told the court: "The evidence suggests that the assaults were wholly unprovoked, committed by the defendant whilst he was under the influence of cocaine." The horror unfolded at around 6.30pm on Christmas Day inside in a flat in the Bletchley area of Milton Keynes. Brown and Jo had been in an "unhealthy" relationship for several years, with both taking Class A drugs and the pair regularly heard arguing by neighbours. Jake had visited the flat on Christmas Day when Brown became "suspicious", the court heard. Ms Heer said: "The defendant then picked up a screwdriver and a kitchen knife from the table in the living room and approached Pearson, who asked him what he was doing and tried to walk away. "Without saying a word, he began to stab her with the knife repeatedly in a frenzied attack. "Jake Brown tried to pull his father away from her, only for the defendant to turn to him and stab him in the chest." The teen, who described his dad as completely expressionless" as he attacked them, then hid in the bathroom to call police. He later described the scene like "watching a horror film" as Brown burst into the bathroom and hit him with the bat. The killer then went into the communal landing to the flat next door, where Teohna and her partner were sitting in the living room enjoying a quiet Christmas day. Brown stabbed both victims multiple times with a "blank" face, Ms Heer said. Teohna was seen by a neighbour on the balcony of her flat clutching her throat and screaming: "Help! I can't breathe". Police discovered Brown's DNA on a baseball bat in the kitchen and knife recovered from his car. Blood from some of the victims was also found on his trainers and clothing. Following his arrest, Brown said: "Oh Jesus, what happened tonight What happened tonight, boy? Pure f***ing madness. Pure madness. "I've gone f***ing crazy guys. Just gone crazy." In a victim impact statement read in court, Teohna's partner said: "We both thought of you as our neighbour and close friend for a number of years. "The impact your crimes have had on me are never-ending. My whole world and future was heinously taken away by you." While Jo's mum Susan Pearson said: "We can only imagine how horrific her final moments were at the hands of Jazwell Brown. "Our own wellbeing has also been seriously compromised. Our faith in humanity has been seriously rocked. We don't think we will ever understand." Lawyer Celia Mardon of the Crown Prosecution Service said: 'Our thoughts today are with Jo and Teohna's families and loved ones who have suffered such unimaginable loss. 'We worked closely with Thames Valley Police to build a case to secure justice for all of those affected by Jazwell Brown's inexplicable and violent actions. 'Compelling evidence in our case included the accounts of eyewitnesses which were supported by forensic evidence. "Given the overwhelming evidence against him, Brown admitted to his crimes, thankfully sparing the victims' families and friends the ordeal of a trial. "We hope that today's sentence helps them in some small way to find the strength and support they need as they continue on their path towards healing.' 6 6 6

Jazwell Brown: Man who murdered two women on Christmas Day after taking crack cocaine jailed for life
A man who murdered two women on Christmas Day has been jailed for life, with a minimum term of 39 years. Jazwell Brown had previously pleaded guilty to killing Teohna Grant and Jo Pearson in Milton Keynes last year - as well as two counts of attempted murder. Detectives say the attacks were wholly unprovoked and committed while he was under the influence of crack cocaine. Brown had fatally assaulted Ms Pearson - his 38-year-old partner - in their home by stabbing her repeatedly and beating her with a baseball bat. He also attempted to kill his 18-year-old son, Jake Brown, using the same weapons. The 49-year-old then took a knife and the baseball bat to his neighbour's flat, where he killed 24-year-old Teohna Grant. Her partner, Bradley Latter, sustained more than 20 injuries to his neck alone, but survived. Brown also stabbed Ms Pearson's dog before fleeing the scene in his car - driving at dangerously high speeds before he was arrested. Footage from a nearby doorbell camera showed the dog walking around while bloodied and injured. Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Brangwin says the scenes faced by emergency services that evening were "indescribable". He added: "The events that unfolded on that day were truly horrific and tragic. We may never know what prompted Brown to behave the way he did." Beyond the life terms for the murders of Ms Pearson and Ms Grant, Brown was sentenced to 18 years for the attempted murder of his son - and 21 years for the attempted murder of Mr Latter. He was also sentenced to nine months for attacking Ms Pearson's dog, and 18 months for the possession of a knife in a public place. The judge said all of the sentences will run concurrently. In a statement, Ms Pearson's family said: "Jo was a loving daughter, sister, mother, auntie, cousin, friend and neighbour. Her life was needlessly and cruelly cut short in horrendous circumstances on Christmas Day, in her own home at the hands of her partner. We will never be able to understand why." Meanwhile, Ms Grant was describe as someone who had "a huge heart full of love and kindness". "As a family we are heartbroken to have lost her," they said. "The heartbreak is intensified by the realisation that we lost her due to the senseless, cruel actions of someone else. Our world is emptier, full of sadness and holds a lot less laughter now that she has gone. "Teohna deserved more time to live and deserved the chance to experience the good things life still had to offer her. The world is a darker place without Teohna's beautiful smile."
