The area currently remains cordoned off to the public with armed cops alongside Munich's Criminal Investigation Department at the scene. Sniffer dogs are also on the hunt for any clues while bandages were harrowingly seen on the ground at the Oktoberfest site. The motive behind the attack remains unknown. Joachim Herrman, Bavaria's Interior Minister, told Bild: "I am very grateful to the Munich police for their swift intervention and stopping the knife attacker.
