Stacey Solomon channels Meghan Markle as she takes up beekeeping with her children
Stacey Solomon channeled Meghan Markle on Wednesday when she revealed that she had taken up beekeeping with her family. The TV personality, 35, was joined by her three youngest children; Rex, six, Rose, three, and Belle, two, for the bees' 'moving in day.' It comes just days after the Duchess of Sussex shared a rare photo with her daughter Lilibet as she also gave an update on their beekeeping. Stacey, who lives in a £1.2million Essex mansion nicknamed Pickle Cottage, has 2.5 acres, and has now added a new beehive to her home. In the update shared to her Instagram Story, the family could be seen wearing protective masked bee-keeping suits as they got to work. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Stacey and her children had spent the day making sure they were prepped for the bees' arrival an visited a local garden centre for supplies before. She wrote: 'What a beautiful garden centre. I got loads for the bees, the staff were so helpful & knew so much which is 100% what I need when I go to the garden centre. 'Anyone looking for a good garden centre check out this one @polhillgc I thought it was brilliant.' Alongside her three youngest children, who she shares with her husband Joe Swash, Stacey is also a mother to son Zachery, 17, from her relationship with ex-boyfriend Dean Cox. She also shares son Leighton, 12, with former fiancé Aaron Barnham, while Joe is a father to son Harry with ex-Emma Sophocleous. Just days prior, Meghan took to social media to share a new snippet of her life - this time with her and Lilibet in matching beekeeping suits. The Duchess of Sussex posted the sweet video to Instagram on Sunday night, showing herself holding her daughter's hand, walking towards a beehive. In the video, the cute three-year-old can be seen turning towards her mother - giving royal fans a rare glimpse of her face. The pair wore matching outfits in a vast field, but Lilibet accessorised with a pair of adorable rainbow wellies. They held hands and were filmed from the back walking towards the hive, before Meghan, 43, bent down and rubbed her daughter on the back. The song Sugar Sugar by The Archies played over the video which was posted to her Instagram story. Meghan's passion for beekeeping is on display in her new Netflix series 'With Love, Meghan,' which debuted in March.

Stacey Solomon reveals ANOTHER new addition to Pickle Cottage amid ‘career fears' after Bafta rant
STACEY Solomon has revealed another new addition to Pickle Cottage after her shock TV Baftas rant. The 35-year-old left fans stunned when she took to social media to rant after her BBC show Sort Your Life Out didn't win a gong at the ceremony. 4 4 It was later reported Stacey "feared she could lose it all" following the outburst. But the mum-of-five has brushed all of that off to reveal the latest addition to the £1.2million Essex property she shares with husband Joe Swash and the kids. In a new clip on Instagram, she told fans: "Ages ago I was like, 'I'm going to get bees'. But I thought I'm not getting bees unless I really study it properly and learn everything about it. "So I found this incredible lady called Helen who does beekeeping courses, there's a theory and a practical. "I booked myself in for the course. Teddy got really sick and I said to the lady, 'my dog's not very well, I can't leave him for too long, can we do some of the course at my house?' "And she said 'we can do the theory at your house then you can come and do the practical where I've got my hive'." But Stacey explained that, while at Pickle Cottage, her plumber Mark told them he'd just driven past a hive of bees, adding: "Helen was like, 'let's go get them, that could be your colony'." Despite Stacey's protests that she "wasn't ready", Helen pushed on and they went to collect the bees to bring them back to Pickle Cottage. Stacey then proudly showed off the hive, adding: "I have my very own Pickle Cottage bee hive and it's the best thing ever." Other animals who call the property home include four ducks - Daisy, Delilah, Daphne and Delphine - and dogs Teddy and Peanut. Stacey Solomon launches into huge rant after failing to win Bafta as she admits 'upset and devastation' After her TV Bafta rant, insiders told how Stacey was "upset" and didn't want to come across as "ungrateful". A source told OK! Magazine: "The negative comments really upset her, she takes them to heart, she never wants to be seen as ungrateful, because she's not. "She's a really hard worker and gives her all to everything, so it's devastating when it doesn't pay off, and it understandably makes her worry." They added: "The fear of 'Could I lose it all too? Could it all be over?' is always there to some extent."

Stacey Solomon's ‘entitled' BAFTAs rant leaves BBC bosses horrified – and it's a ‘second blackmark' on her name
STACEY Solomon is reportedly under fire from BBC bosses who were left horrified by her Bafta rant. Insiders say it's a "second blackmark" on her name having been rapped over BBC advertising rules. 2 2 As The Sun previously revealed, the I'm A Celebrity star faced unprecedented backlash over her Kardashian -style telly six-parter, Stacey & Joe, which revealed Stacey's marriage to Joe Swash has hit a rocky patch. The couple openly promoted everything from haircare ranges to their Instagram accounts, going against the Beeb's guidelines. Now she's back in the headlines having launched into a huge rant after her BBC home makeover show, Sort Your Life Out, didn't take home a gong. Stacey, 35, admitted her "upset and devastation" over the loss to Rob and Rylan's Grand Tour in the Factual Entertainment category. According to the Daily Mail, her moaning video left BBC executives stunned - and even blindsided her own PR team. An employee told the paper: One told me: "Stacey is seen as normal, relatable and a good laugh. "So when she put her video up on Monday morning there was some horror here. It felt entitled and was all very out of character. "Admittedly, she did say she came out to share her frustration in support of her behind-the-scenes team who she wanted to pay tribute to. But there are other behind-the-camera teams on other shows who all work hard, too. "You can't wonder if the gloss might start to come off for Stacey. It would be a disaster for the BBC, they are hanging so much on her." This latest controversy another crack in Stacey's down-to-earth persona that gained millions of fans — and millions of pounds in the bank — sharing her seemingly perfect life online.

EXCLUSIVE The truth about Stacey Soloman's ill-judged Insta rant for missing out on a Bafta - and why some BBC bosses are privately fuming about it: KATIE HIND
Dressed down in a blue Nike sweatshirt in her back garden in the much publicised Pickle Cottage where she lives with her blended family, Stacey Solomon clearly had no idea what damage she was about to inflict upon her highly lucrative career. The evening before had started so well. She'd delighted red carpet onlookers at the glitzy Bafta TV awards by wearing an upcycled version of her wedding dress from her marriage to actor husband Joe Swash, and her BBC home makeover show Sort Your Life Out looked to be a favourite in the Factual Entertainment category. However, in the event, she was beaten by Rylan Clark and Rob Rinder's programme Grand Tour. Undoubtedly, there's few who wouldn't feel the sting of this disappointment. Most stars, though, would save their moans for their nearest and dearest. Instead, Stacey – who is highly prized by the BBC and seen by bosses as key to improving their appeal to a younger audience – opted to go on a very public rant. In an ill-judged video, which I'm told left her own PR team blindsided, she fumed to her six million Instagram followers: 'We didn't win a Bafta. And I know I'm supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but, I'll be honest, I'm devastated. I'm not handling it very well, I'm not taking it very gracefully – I'm devastated! I'm devastated for our whole team, like I'm so gutted for our team. 'Everyone got dressed up and was really hopeful, I think because they work so hard. It's not an easy show to make, Sort Your Life Out, and the team work so hard to make it happen and they so deserve the Bafta. 'I'm not saying that everyone else didn't deserve their Baftas, they absolutely did. 'People think making TV is really easy and it's not, so everyone deserves recognition. But I'm gonna say it – I'm gutted!' Going on to reveal the hard work that goes into making their show, she went on: 'We'll pack up a house and within seven days that house is packed up, into vans, over to a warehouse, laid out on the floor, we go through it meticulously, we make sure it doesn't just get chucked away. 'We donate, we recycle, we resell things. We put it all back and try and put it in systems to help families move forward...' I can reveal, however, that BBC executives were left stunned by Stacey's outburst. The Corporation is heavily invested in the 35-year-old presenter, having also given her an at-home reality show on BBC1. One told me: 'Stacey is television gold. She has made herself so appealing to young adults. It's a BBC priority to attract the 18-to-30 age group and Stacey was the right person to do this, hence why she was given her fly-on-the-wall show. She's seen as normal, relatable and a good laugh. 'So when she put her video up on Monday morning there was some horror here. It felt entitled and was all very out of character. 'Admittedly, she did say she came out to share her frustration in support of her behind-the-scenes team who she wanted to pay tribute to. But there are other behind-the-camera teams on other shows who all work hard, too. 'You can't wonder if the gloss might start to come off for Stacey. It would be a disaster for the BBC, they are hanging so much on her.' This isn't the only black mark against Stacey's name for BBC bosses. Another issue has cropped up following her show, Stacey & Joe, which stars the couple and their family as they navigate life at Pickle Cottage. The family moved into this £1.2 million Essex property in 2021, which they proceeded to renovate. However, some in the Corporation are said to be cross at how she and Joe have plugged their own lucrative brands all the way through. Publicly, the BBC has backed Stacey, but privately some are fuming at how 'ghastly' it looks. Across four episodes, the couple, who met on I'm A Celebrity in 2010, openly showcased their private business projects, flouting the Corporation's editorial standards. Viewers saw her decorating for a Halloween-themed event to promote the At Home With Stacey Solomon homewear range. She also plugs Rehab, a haircare brand she invested in. 'I had no idea what I was doing when I invested in Rehab,' she declared onscreen. 'I just knew I wanted to be a part of that company because I loved the girls and I loved the products.' Joe's coffee company, his participation on a Spotify podcast, as well as Stacey's upcoming perfume line and their own social media accounts have also been mentioned onscreen. 'It's not what the BBC does,' said one source. 'But Stacey is the golden girl so she's allowed to do what she wants in some quarters.' Regardless, a career pinnacle of sorts is approaching as she's now being touted as a potential contestant for Strictly, which would make her the first celebrity to achieve the hat-trick of appearing on the X Factor, I'm A Celeb and the BBC dance show. Indeed, Stacey's career began on the X Factor in 2009 when she was instantly hailed as a potential winner before judges Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh had even heard her sing. Stacey, now 35, eventually came third in the show. She then went on to win I'm A Celeb in 2010, a success which she hoped might lead to a pop career. Instead, more reality TV beckoned, and she appeared on ITV's The Jump in 2016. She is also a regular on Loose Women. Cannily, she's since carved out a career as a 'mum-fluencer', thanks to her brood of children, who include Zachary, 17, Leighton, 12, Rex, five, Rose, three, and two-year-old Belle. The couple's public image is, needless to say, highly controlled, as with many reality TV stars. Last year, however, the pair were spotted having a heated row in the street. It was a rare glimpse of a crack in an otherwise impeccable marital image. Indeed, I can testify that Stacey's wholesome on-screen persona isn't the entire story. I spent the day with her for an interview and photoshoot in 2011 when she was pregnant with Leighton. She admitted that she needed a cigarette, before then putting the fear of God into me about ever revealing she was still smoking while pregnant. Some weeks later she was caught smoking and the pictures appeared on the front of a newspaper. She was said to be 'absolutely raging', although her publicist quickly smoothed over the furore. Now, as fans criticise her for being 'too big for her boots' and 'whingeing' – BBC bosses can only hope this storm dies down as quickly as all the others.

Stacey Solomon transforms her wedding dress into a playsuit while Vicky Pattison dyes hers yellow as they re-work their bridal gowns for sustainable BAFTAs
Stacey Solomon and Vicky Pattison re-purposed their wedding dresses for Sunday's BAFTA TV Awards. The ceremony has been championing sustainability in recent years and as part of its pledge, guests are asked to wear something already in existence - from their own wardrobe or rented. And two stars who used the occasion to bring out their most special garments were presenters Stacey, 35, and Vicky, 37. Stacey took to her Instagram ahead of the ceremony to share a slew of snaps in her dazzling outfit, which she revealed had been made from her bridal gown from her wedding to Joe Swash in July 2022. She showcased her tiny waist and toned legs in reworked dress, which had been altered into a fashion-forward playsuit, as she insisted wearing her wedding look only once 'feels like a travesty'. Keeping the corseted bodice from the original dress, Stacey removed the off-the-shoulder sleeves and added dramatic pointed detailing to the neckline. While her skirt was changed into shorts, with a thigh-high slit cut into the sparkling skirt overlay, allowing a glimpse at her long legs underneath. Revealing the sweet origin of her outfit, Stacey also explained why she decided to re- wear her special dress from her wedding day. She wrote: 'I decided to have my wedding dress re worked for today because wearing it once feels like a travesty to me. I wanted to get her out of the box & take her out on another special day. 'Thank you @fayesawyerstylist & Issy for transforming my wedding dress into something so special & beautiful. I love you girls. Thank you penny for making me feel so beautiful as always. HERE WE GO! Fingers crossed'. Meanwhile Vicky rewore one of her collection of dresses from her nuptials to Ercan Ramadan. She looked sensational in a busty satin ruched gown with off-shoulder straps, which she had dyed butter yellow from its original wedding white. 'For this year's @bafta with @pandocruises I wanted to give one of my wedding dresses a new lease of life,' she wrote. Explaining the policy from BAFTA, blogger Alice Liveing shared on her Instagram Story: 'We were asked not to buy anything new for tonight but instead either rent or rewear so I've managed to get another wear out of an old favourite that I truly love, and I love that it made me shop my own wardrobe before getting something new!' BAFTA's sustainability clause reads: 'London College of Fashion, UAL is once again working with BAFTA to invite guests to dress more sustainably this awards season. 'We've developed this guide to help you make considered fashion choices and to become a voice for change through fashion. The clothes we wear use precious resources and should stay in wardrobes for as long as they possibly can, whether ours or someone else's.' The 2025 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises saw a slew of celebrities take home awards celebrating excellence in TV on Sunday, at the glitzy ceremony held in the Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall. Mr. Bates vs The Post Office led the big winners of the evening, scoring two more awards to add to the ground-breaking ITV show's ever-growing list of accolades. However, it was the BBC who came out on top, scoring 17 wins in total after a year of triumphant programming, in the ceremony - presented this year by actor Alan Cumming. While Netflix smash Baby Reindeer and the climactic Gavin & Stacey Christmas special also won key awards. Widely expected to claim much of Sunday evening's spotlight, Mr. Bates vs The Post Office picked up an early award for Limited Drama. Accepting the gong from Russell Tovey and Daniel Mays, producer Patrick Spencer said: 'We could only film this because Polly Hill at ITV saved us from getting cancelled and this story only had the impact it did because the people who watched it stood up as one and demanded action with such rage, that the government had no choice but to respond. Mr. Bates vs The Post Office led the big winners of the evening, scoring two more awards to add to the ground-breaking ITV show's ever-growing list of accolades (Toby Jones, Monica Dolan and Alan Bates pictured) 'Our show didn't change the law, the people of this nation did. They showed in their response to Mr. Bates vs The Post Office that our country cannot abide liars and bullies.' He added: 'May it be a warning to those who are supposed to have our backs, that they better not abuse their power. 'When accepting this award, we would like to go on record that being trusted by the post-masters to tell their story has been the greatest privilege of our lives.' ITV went on to claim a Special Award, presented by Baroness Floella Benjamin - for its work in commissioning Mr. Bates vs The Post Office. Urging Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer's Labour government to rush through arranged compensation payments for affected former postal employees, ITV boss Kevin Lygo said: 'Hurry up and pay these people what they are due.' The night began with Jessica Gunning collecting the award for Best Actress after winning accolades for her portrayal of crazed stalker Martha in Richard Gatt's hugely successful Netflix drama Baby Reindeer. Danny Dyer then forced the BBC to do some quick editing, after he let slip several swear words during his acceptance speech for best Male Performance in a Comedy. The actor, 47, won his first BAFTA for his role as Lee in Mr. Bigstuff, and allowed his excitement to get the better of him in his typically expletive-laden speech. After first saying: 'F***ing hell, I'm choked up', the EastEnders star then shared a sweet and hilarious tribute to Mr. Bigstuff writer and his co-star Ryan Sampson, which led him to turning the air blue once more. Danny said: 'But I got to dedicate this to Ryan Sampson. One of the greatest things to come out of Rotherham. Which is not saying much. 'But one of the best actors this country's ever produced, I'm telling you. Never done the same thing twice. Which is not something I can say. 'He wrote this part for me, so you know... I'm getting choked up again, f**k me. So you won this for me mate, I really appreciate it, thank you so much.' He finished by addressing his two daughters Dani, 28, and Sunnie, 18, who were sat in the audience and took the opportunity to swear one last time, declaing: 'Girls, Sunnie and Dani. I've done it girls, I've f***ing done it!' However, the BBC were less than impressed by the star breaking the watershed, with host Alan being forced to say: 'I've been asked to apologise for the naughty language there.' And when the moment was aired just an hour later, the broadcaster made sure to trim down Danny's speech and cut out all of his curses. Alan later accidentally let slip a swear word of his own, while presenting the prestigious BAFTA Fellowship award to journalist Kirsty Wark. The Scottish star suffered an unfortunate blunder by mistakenly introducing the award as the 'b*****d fellowship', and upon realising his error, the mortified actor let loose yet another swear, as he sheepishly muttered: 'Oh f*** me!' The Fellowship is the highest accolade bestowed by BAFTA upon an individual in recognition of an outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, games or television.
