Ruskin man takes home $2M prize after buying $10 scratch-off ticket at gas station
RUSKIN, Fla. (WFLA) — A Ruskin man took home a $2 million top prize after he bought a winning scratch-off ticket at a gas station.
The Florida Lottery announced Wednesday that 42-year-old Joel Miranda Roman claimed a top prize from the $2,000,000 100X CASHWORD scratch-off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

Roman chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,280,000.
He bought the winning ticket at the Sunoco Food Mart located at 1202 North Tamiami Trail in Ruskin. The store will receive a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the ticket.
The $10 2,000,000 100X CASHWORD scratch-off game offers more than $220 million in cash prizes. The game's overall odds of winning are 1-in-3.37.
