Vanderbilt football, Clark Lea land Joey Quinn, class of 2026 defensive end
Joey Quinn has committed to Vanderbilt football and coach Clark Lea, Quinn announced Wednesday on social media.
Quinn, a junior at Mount Carmel (Illinois), is a 6-foot-6, 250-pound defensive edge rusher and a 3-star recruit on 247Sports Composite for the class of 2026.
Quinn helped anchor the defense for the Caravan (11-3) on their way to the Illinois High School Association Class 7A state championship. Former Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch, who was a finalist for the 2013 Heisman Trophy, is the team's coach.
Along with Vanderbilt, Quinn had 12 offers with nine Power 4 offers including Cincinnati, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisville, Minnesota, Missouri and Purdue. The other three, ironically, came from the Mid-American Conference, where Lynch played.
