Illinois Deer Classic returns to the Peoria Civic Center
PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — Thousands of local hunters are showing off their game at the 2025 Illinois Deer Classic.
The Illinois Deer Classic at the Peoria Civic Center offered hunting licenses, big buck competition registration, and safety education seminars.
Fishing and trapping licenses were also available. They also offered lectures on turkey hunting, nighttime coyote hunting, and deer calling.
Show producer John Bunge said it's the perfect place for hunters to connect and fine-tune their skills
'It's such a passion event towards hunting and it's a chance for guys to celebrate, guys and gals and yeah, all kinds of hunting, duck hunting, goose hunting, turkey hunting, big game stuff, South African hunting as well as white tail. We got it covered,' he said.
This year had almost 200 hundred vendors in attendance and is the 4th year of the classic being held at the Peoria Civic Center.
