Small Illinois town becomes the set of a John Goodman movie overnight
MONTICELLO, Ill. (WTVO) — Monticello, a small town near Champaign, became the set of a film called 'Chili Finger' overnight. John Goodman and Bryan Cranston, among many more celebrities, filmed inside a former Hardee's. The movie, based on a true story, follows the efforts of a woman who found a finger in her bowl of chili to leverage the situation for a payout. Goodman's likeness replaced the fast food chain's sign. Residents have been in a frenzy to get a look at some of the nation's most well-known celebrities. 'John Goodman and Sean Astin, and I can't remember who else was in it, but I was like, these are like legit stars,' said Monticello resident Andrew Bailey. 'It's so cool. I've seen tons of movies with them.' 'I looked up and I said, 'That woman in line looked so familiar,' and we waited for her to speak,' said Owner of the Brown Bag, Leslie Sims. Sims could not believe her eyes when she saw actress Judy Greer standing in front of her ordering a sandwich. Business owners around the area have cited an uptick in the local economy. 'The restaurants were full last night. The parking lot was full,' said Monticello resident Susan Chumbley. Film crews will be moving from Monticello to Paxton on Friday to shoot the next portion of the movie. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. SEE IT: Sundog spotted in Northeast Ohio sky
CLINTON, Ohio (WJW) — Northeast Ohio's weather conditions were just right early Tuesday morning to create some beautiful displays of light. The pictures below were captured at about 7 a.m. by Linda Campbell in Clinton. The colored spots of light around the sun are called a sundog. John Goodman 'unrecognizable' after weight loss FOX 8 Meteorologist Dontaé Jones explains sundogs are created by the refraction of light through ice crystals. Why a 400-pound grizzly bear was killed 'They are caused by ice crystals that are faced horizontally in the atmosphere. So when the sun's rays hit the ice crystals, it bends (refracts) the sunlight,' said Jones. 'The ice crystals are shaped like a hexagon so that helps to bend and twist all the light to produce this beauty.' At about the same time, on FOX 8 News in the Morning, Todd Meany spotted a rainbow on one of the FOX 8 weather cams. Check it out in the video player above! Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. John Goodman, 72, Stuns with Slender Appearance: 'He Looks Amazing'
Actor John Goodman, 72, has dropped a ton of weight over the past few years, and he's gotten so slender, he's a fraction of his former self when he played Dan Conner on Roseanne during his younger days. Back in 2023, he had reportedly dropped at least 200 pounds, and based on a new video that just turned up of him on TikTok, it looks like he's kept it off and then some. Just wait until you see how thin he looks while showing off his new smile, courtesy of Dr. Kevin Sands in Beverly Hills. He honestly doesn't even look like the same person! Fans just can't get over the drastic change in his appearance. One person said, "Damn, John looks amazing!," and another added, "Wow! Didn't even recognize him! Wheres the rest of you, John? 😄" Someone else was equally as blown away by his appearance, saying, "Unrecognizable with his weight loss! Wonder what kind of secret life this wealthy person lives?? God only knows!!"And one more super fan chimed in with, "OMG John Goodman was in LA!!! He is literally one of my favorite actors of all time in my favorite show (Roseanne) and movie (The Artist) love him!" Aside from his dramatic weight loss, we have to admit Goodman's new pearly whites look pretty incredible as well. One thing's for sure, this guy has had a pretty fabulous glow-up!
