Atlanta Braves and former Husker pitcher Spencer Schwellenbach throws first complete game
A former Husker threw his first career complete game at the Major League level. Spencer Schwellenbach went the distance in the Atlanta Braves' 6-2 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers. Schwellenbach gave up five hits and two runs while striking out nine in the win.
Schwellenbach played for Nebraska from 2019 to 2021. In 2021, he was the Big Ten Player of the Year and the John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year.
