Bourbon County man allegedly raped, sexual abused minor
PARIS, Ky. (FOX 56) — A Bourbon County man has been arrested, accused of rape and sexual abuse of a minor.
The Paris Police Department arrested 51-year-old John Pruitt Tuesday after receiving a complaint on Sunday about allegations of sexual crimes involving a minor.

Court documents said the victim told police that the abuse started when she was 8 and continued until she was 14.
The document details an interview between the victim and the Child Advocacy Center.
During the interview, she claimed that Pruitt took her to his home in Paris from his work, and at one point he allegedly told her 'not to tell anyone because they would be in trouble.'

Pruitt is charged with first-degree rape, first-degree sodomy, unlawful transaction with a minor under 16, and first-degree sexual abuse.
