Photo of The Beatles signed by Cassius Clay to be auctioned
A PHOTOGRAPH of The Beatles and Cassius Clay is to be auctioned off next month.
The monochrome picture, signed by Cassius Clay, was collected by the owner's late uncle who worked as a music promoter in America during the 1960s.
The Beatles met Cassius Clay in February 1964 on a trip to America just before Clay was crowned World Heavyweight Boxing Champion and changed his name to Muhammad Ali.
A photo of the moment will be auctioned at Sherborne-based Charterhouse's specialist auction of rock, pop, film and entertainment memorabilia on Wednesday, February 26.
Auctioneer John Snape said: 'Icons of the mid to late 20th century the photo has great appeal to music and boxing fans and is estimated at £300-500.'
