Mounties said officers were called to the nursing station for a stabbing victim on Wednesday at 3 a.m. The man died and the Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation. An autopsy is scheduled at the Chief Medical Examiner's office in Edmonton on Friday. Anyone with information is asked to call Vermilion RCMP at 780-927-3255 or local police. Anonymous information can be given to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477or online at John d'Or Prairie is part of the Little Red River Cree Nation and is located 125 kilometres east of High Level.
