Local law enforcement ask public for help locating missing man
Local law enforcement is seeking help in finding a missing man. Christopher Richard Jennings, nicknamed Casey, was last seen on May 22 on the Benton Street bridge in Iowa City, according to an Iowa City news release sent out on Sunday, May 27.. Jennings is about 6-foot-2 and approximately 160 pounds. He has blue eyes and greyish-brown hair. He was clean-shaven the last time he was seen. Jennings was last seen wearing a black jacket, red and white plaid shirt, blue jeans and a black baseball hat under a black University of Iowa Tigerhawk beanie. He was carrying a green and brown satchel bag over his shoulder at the time. Jennings is known to frequently fish near the Riverfront Crossings area of Iowa City," according to law enforcement. 54-year-old woman killed in crash near Holden Thursday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 54-year-old woman was killed in a crash early Thursday morning near Holden, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. The crash was reported around 6:30 a.m. on Missouri O highway, about a mile and a half south of Missouri 58 highway in Johnson County. Man found dead in parking garage in downtown Kansas City According to a crash log from the highway patrol, the woman was driving south on the highway in a 2010 Buick Enclave when she went off the right side of the road. The driver overcorrected, causing the SUV to flip over. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been released. Douglas County deputies searching for witnesses to wrong-way driver on K-10
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Douglas County Sheriff's Office asks any driver who was traveling westbound on Kansas Highway 10 (K-10) between Lawrence and Eudora early Wednesday morning to contact deputies if they had to swerve around a wrong-way driver. According to deputies, just after midnight, dispatchers received calls about a silver Nissan Maxima driving eastbound in the westbound lanes from the U.S. 59 and Iowa Street exit on K-10 east. The sheriff's office said a Eudora police officer eventually found the car, and the driver stopped near the East 1900 Road ramp. Downtown Kansas City business owners issuing a warning: 'This isn't a political issue—it's a safety issue' It was reported that the driver was a 35-year-old man from Lawrence and was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving with the help of a Johnson County Sheriff's Office deputy. According to the sheriff's office, multiple people witnessed the man driving the wrong way on the highway, including deputies and officers who saw him pass fire trucks on K-10, as well as two semis. Motorcyclist killed in crash Wednesday on U.S. 50 in Johnson County
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Wednesday on U.S. 50 in Johnson County, Missouri, according to the highway patrol. The crash was reported just before 5:30 p.m. in the westbound lanes of U.S. 50 near NW 1421 Road. Fairway woman concerned roofing company scammed her According to a crash log from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a woman in a GMC Acadia was changing lanes when she struck a 1987 BMW motorcycle. The motorcycle overturned and the driver was thrown from the bike. The motorcyclist, identified as a 63-year-old man from Knob Noster, died at the scene. His name has not been released.
